Chapter 15: Complaint

Sheng Wang was in the middle of a quiet conversation with ben outside the classroom. "Don't make a fuss," Sheng Wang warned, his grip firm on ben's shoulder.

"Keep it down, or we'll both be in trouble."ben, his eyes wide and slightly panicked, nodded vigorously. Sheng Wang released him with a smirk and straightened up.

Ben took a deep breath, leaning against the corridor railing. "So, what's up? You hiding something?"

Sheng Wang shrugged. "It's a bit complicated. Just think of us as roommates. If you want details, ask Jiang Tian."

Ben tilted his head, clearly intrigued. "So, you and Jiang Tian are pretending not to know each other during the day but live together at night? Kayong dalawa huh! What's the story there?"

"walang story," Sheng Wang said, rolling his eyes. " separate kami ng rooms. Why do you care about your neighbors?"

Ben chuckled. "Well, I live across from my grandparents, so not quite the same."

Just then, kyle came out of the bathroom, wiping his hands. He spotted Sheng Wang and froze for a moment, looking embarrassed.

"Hey, kyle!" Sheng Wang greeted with a grin.

Kyle quickly recovered and slapped Ben's back. "Nice to see you! I'm a scholar!"

Sheng Wang chuckled, "Thanks, but exaggerated compliments are a bit much."

Kyle turned to ben , " Who else did you invite? Where's my brother?"

Ben shrugged. "Not sure. I'll ask him later."

Sheng Wang observed the interactions and noticed that ben and Jiang Tian were close, while kyle seemed to be a bit closer to Jiang Tian as well.

As the school buses left and the teaching area started to empty, Sheng Wang asked, "Why are there still people in the classrooms? Isn't evening self-study supposed to end at 8?"

Dave pointed out, "The third year of high school is still here, along with some second and first-year students. They end later."

"Oh, I see," Sheng Wang nodded. "So, what's the deal with dorm life?"

Ben explained, "Dorm students have different schedules. We might end up living in a dorm for the last year. It's a bit of a change."

Liza, the monitor, added, "It's less convenient than home. Sigurado ka ba na gusto mo mag stay sa dorm?"

Sheng Wang grinned. "It sounds lively. Better than being alone with my papers."

Ben agreed, "That does make sense."

As they arrived at the barbecue restaurant, brix, the boss and ben's brother, greeted them. "Welcome, everyone! Drinks and cold dishes are on me. Just scan the code on the menu table."

Sheng Wang coughed as Brix puffed out smoke from his cigarette. "Sorry about that," brix said, putting out the cigarette. "I'm running on little sleep."

Brix looked at Sheng Wang and said, "You look familiar. Have we met before?"

Sheng Wang was puzzled. "Sorry, I don't think so."

Brix made a call and then said, "Jiang Tian, your friends are here. Why aren't you coming?"

Hanging up, brix turned to Sheng Wang. "Oh, you're the one Jiang Tian covered for after the meal incident, right?" fuck! kung pwede lang ako kainin ngayon ng lupa para maglaho ay ginawa ko na. siya pala iyong kasama ng matanda sa convienience store. tanga mo naman sheng.

The table fell silent, and Sheng Wang's face turned red. Brix 's casual remark made him feel awkward.

Brix chuckled, "I saw you two walking towards the teaching area. My dad owns the store."

Sheng Wang was surprised. Brix's casual conversation had inadvertently revealed something personal.

As the evening continued, Sheng Wang tried to enjoy the barbecue while dealing with the unexpected attention and Brix's blunt honesty. The lively atmosphere helped take his mind off the embarrassment, and he managed to have a good time with friends, even if he felt a bit out of place.
