Chapter 85: HOUSE

The school honor wall was buzzing with excitement. Sheng Wang spotted a string of little hearts next to his photo, a tradition for girls at the school. He chuckled, thinking about how his anxieties from just days ago seemed trivial now.

Later, as he walked down the corridor, he spotted Jiang Tian coming down the stairs. Sheng Wang's heart lifted at the sight of him. He ran up and, with a playful grin, snapped his fingers in Jiang Tian's ear.

Jiang Tian looked over, a surprised smile on his face. "Caught me off guard!"

Sheng Wang shrugged, feigning innocence. "Just wanted to see that smile."

The end of the semester was drawing near, and the review sessions were in full swing. Pete and SuYu had returned to the dormitory, and SuYu felt the sting of homesickness. During a break, Sheng Wang teased him about the comforts of home.

"Remember the big bed and good food?" Sheng Wang asked. "And the freedom to turn on and off the lights whenever you want?"

SuYu sighed, "Yeah, it's hard to beat that."

Meanwhile, Sheng Wang was increasingly clingy, always finding excuses to stay close to Jiang Tian. Whether it was avoiding physical activities or waiting outside their class, he was always near.

One evening during self-study, Sheng Wang noticed a series of sticky notes on his desk, each with a challenging problem. As he worked through them, Jiang Tian added one more note, saying simply: "Let's rent a house."

Sheng Wang's heart skipped a beat. He looked up at Jiang Tian, eyes wide. "Rent a house?"

Jiang Tian smiled softly. "ayaw mo? Ibabahay na kita.."

"ahm..gusto.," Sheng Wang replied, then hesitated. "But what about your luggage?"

Jiang Tian waved his hand dismissively. "We can figure that out. Besides, you wouldn't just lock

me out, would you?"

"No way!" Sheng Wang assured him. "Definitely not."

Jiang Tian leaned in closer, his voice low, "Then why worry about the luggage?"

Sheng Wang laughed, taking the note and writing, "I'll spoil you."

Jiang Tian's eyes sparkled with amusement. "You better!"

They planned to visit potential houses together, their excitement palpable. The process of finding a new place felt like an adventure they were eager to embark on together.

Later, while visiting the Gate to check out apartments, Clark, Sheng Wang's father, mentioned that he and Aunt Lea could handle picking up Sheng Wang's grandfather from the hospital.

Jiang Tian helped clean up, curious. "What about my mom?"

Clark replied, "She's catching up with an old friend at the hospital."

As they continued their day, Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian shared small, tender moments, feeling the warmth of their growing closeness. Their future together seemed bright, and they were ready to face it, hand in hand.
