🐋 8. "I know that sunset looks pretty, but please tell me you believe me when I tell you that you're prettier."
Here's #8 to the Summer Series! Just to be clear I'll also be uploading regular one shots but this one is a special summer one ☺️🩵✨🐳 love you guys!!
The warm summer breeze turns into a prickly cool wind, the sun was setting way out in the distance.
And my head feels incredibly comfortable on his shoulder, we've been walking for what seems like miles but I don't care. Not even if my feet are cramping up, if he loves to walk then I do too.
And even if I'm tired, at least I'm with him. Who makes my whole world shake.
"You cold, baby?" His sweet, whiskey smooth voice rings in my ears like a stick beating on a drum.
Humming, my shrug, the love my have for him was keeping you warm. Seriously, my insides get all giddy and hot whenever I'm around Chris. Or even thinking of him.
"A little," rubbing my hand up and down his bicep. I was curled around, he turns his head to look at me. One of his hands occupied with holding Dodger's leash.
Handing me the leash, Chris stops walking and so do I, when I look to see what was wrong he was reaching into the back of his neck to take his hoodie off.
It seems I was giving more signs that I was cold than I thought, Dodgey's a great pup, he never ever runs from Chris so he takes the leash from me only to drop it.
Dodge comes trotting back to us wondering why his evening walk was interrupted. How dare we.
Chris helps me loop my arms through his hoodie, that—mmm—smelled just like him. I giggle in pure joy, "thanks," is the first thing I say when my head comes out the prospective hole.
"Can't have my baby getting cold," wrapping his arm around me, we walk a bit further. We're easily 20 minutes away from Chris's house, but neither of us seem to care. That's the thing about Chrissy—he's just a go with the flow guy.
He's chill, even though he has his times of worry, and those times where I really need to support him. Lift him up.
He's never once worried about getting home late from a walk, in fact this is our favorite part of the day. Especially in summer.
Kissing my temple, my cheeks heat up in glee, I've never felt loved like this before. We approach an open lot of just land.
Green grass for miles and Chris and Dodge give each other a look, I stand watching them, my arms crossed but relaxed. Chris crouches down to unhook Dodger's vest it seems they had the same thought.
Dodger runs down and around this empty lot, the happiest pup in the world. I could see the fireflies starting to come out to play in the horizon. The sky is blue and pink, like a cotton candy swirl.
The night couldn't be anymore perfect.
Chris and Dodger play like it was never ending, and like time didn't exist. I strive to be that level of happy, and in a way Chris has allowed me to achieve it.
Dodger comes running at me, Chris must've told him to come and get me. I start running away playfully, knowing he'll keep chasing me until I stop. We're all laughter, smiles and giddiness, "Dodger!"
He tackles me down, by placing his paw right in the back of my knee and making me lose my balance. It wasn't a hurtful fall, or a painful one. I tumble into to freshly cut shards of grass, and let this adorable puppy lick all over me.
