The birds chirp loud and proud, as the sun comes up for another day. The bright yellow star peeks up from behind the horizon.
People, mostly families, friends and couples begin their weekly outing on the day that everyone rests.
Sunday.
Cars pass by the busy street of your apartment as the drivers conduct their daily Sunday routine, some heading early to the grocery store, others to the market.
As your eyes begin to move around, still closed, and your body registers you waking up. You become familiar with all your scents and sounds going on.
Just like any other day since you lived with just one roommate.
Yawning big you finally take a big deep breath of air and flutter your eyes open. They were still a bit heavy begging for more sleep but your mind was sharp and intact.
Stretching wide and big you sit up in your large comfy bed, smiling because today was another day. And you finally got going out crossed off on your bucket list.
You were turning 25 in a few days and you have a some things you'd like to do before you're halfway to the big three zero.
You weren't exactly the party girl in high school, or in college.
So your roommate, who was also a good friend, decided to construct a long bucket list of things that you needed to do to feel accomplished:
⚪️ Stay up past midnight.
⚪️ Go to the beach at night.
⚪️ Visit a new country.
⚪️ Learn how to ballroom dance.
⚪️ Go out clubbing at least four times.
⚪️ Get a tattoo.
Laying back down in your comfy bed you try to register anything you could remember from last night. And your accelerated heart rate tells you everything you needed to know.
You completely forgot what happened last night.
Absolutely erased.
A blank cassette.
Yes you remember getting into the uber with your roommate and other friends to head downtown to this supposedly famous club that everyone goes to.
You remember being so nervous when the bouncer checked your ID, so nervous that your friend reminded you that you were over 21.
