Annnnnd let's roll it!!
------------------------------------

Waking up slowly, I snuggled closer to Daxon, confused as to what woke me up this early in the morning.

That's strange, the bed feels colder than usual. . .

Reaching out behind me, I expected to find Corbin outside the blankets somewhere back there, he had a habit of just letting me take all the blankets in the night.

My hand met empty blankets instead, cold empty blankets.

Oh? He's up already??

Confused and more awake now, I reached out to my plants, using the ones my sweet boyfriend scattered around the house to check for him.

Brion was sleeping soundly in the guest room and Daxon was cuddling in front of me. . .And that was everyone in the apartment.

My confusion quickly morphed into concern as I bolted upright, looking around for his dragons just in case he left briefly to get groceries or something - we were getting low on eggs after all -.

Nothing.

Daxon nuzzled his face into my side, having been woken up by my sudden movement.

''Mmm hey, what's the matter flower?'' He questioned quietly, his voice muffled and rough with sleep as he pressed a kiss to my side, making me squirm slightly.

I was about to answer when he beat me to it, also sleepily reaching across the bed and tensing when he failed to find Corbin.

His eyes snapped open as he slowly sat up, a grim look on his face.

''Is he somewhere in the house?'' The other man questioned slowly, when I shook my head, worried tears starting to gather, he sighed in annoyance, getting up as he did so.

''Did he tell you where he's gone?'' Daxon continued to question as he picked up his clothes from the floor, quickly dressing with a quiet urgency as I roughly wiped at my face.

Shaking faintly and trying to dispell the growing feeling of worry, I shook my head again, softly whispering a 'no'.

We'd notice if he got kidnapped right???

He nodded, his lips pressed tight as he finished dressing, slipping his costume on with slightly shaking hands as he listened to me.

''Okay. . .Stay here, I'm going to try and find him, if he comes back on his own give me a call alright sweetest?'' Daxon requested once he was done dressing, reaching out for my face as he spoke.

Leaning forwards, I rested my head in his hands as he leaned down, pressing a kiss to my forehead and wiping my tears with a heart melting amount of care, whispering a soft 'love you' before pulling back and heading for the window.

''Try and get some more sleep, I'll be back soon okay? Everything's going to be alright'' Daxon assured softly, his voice becoming slow and soothing, his words and tone easing the tension in my shoulders that I hadn't even noticed.

Nodding silently again, I watched as Daxon left, ensuring the window was secure behind him before the glowing wings formed on his back, lifting him into the sky and away from sight to go and fix this as I laid back down, facing the window.

All alone in bed.

I felt colder than usual, cold and empty.

It's going to be fine. . . Corbin's strong and Daxon's smart. . . He'll find him. . .
