Truth was that I wasn't going to my office at Forrester Creations. I was going to see Brooke. I needed someone to talk to. As I walked over to Brooke's house, I wanted to know why Caroline wanted Bill to come so badly to her party. I know that he was her uncle and all but why else would she want him there? To annoy me? Because to tell you the truth I was very annoyed. I rather Rick come to the party any day than Bill. Ugh! Just thinking about that man makes my blood boil.
I understood completely that it was Caroline's birthday which gave her the right to choose who she wanted there, but Bill's name should never come out her mouth. Not when I'm around. I wonder if I told Brooke about this situation would she agree with me? I guess I will find out when I get there.
I walked a few more blocks until I saw Brooke's house in sight. Her house was as beautiful as she was. You could never miss it. As I headed to ring the door bell, I stopped as I saw an ugly sight through the window. My blood went cold as there standing in front of Brooke stood Bill. What the hell was he doing there? Not to mention with Brooke. Believe me, I wanted to barge in and kill that man but I refrained. Instead, I listened to the nonsense that he had to say to Brooke. If matters got bad then I would barge in.
"Bill, what are you doing here?" Brooke asked shocked.
"It's been two days since I seen you Brooke," The scoundrel said, "I thought I might pay you a visit."
Oh please!
"You shouldn't be here Bill," Brooke told him. "I have to ask you to leave."
That's right Brooke. You tell him.
"Not without you," The scoundrel said as he reached for Brooke's hand but she pulled it away.
"Forget about me," Brooke cried, "you should be home working things out with Katie."
"Forget about her Brooke," Bill yelled, "there's no point working things out with someone who doesn't want to listen."
"She's your wife Bill," Brooke said softly and I wished that she be more firm, "stop hiding her son away from her and just make things right."
"Easier said then done," The scoundrel said. "Look, I get that Katie's your sister and that you love her, but she's not stable enough to take care of Will. I'm protecting him until Katie is well."
"And when will that be Bill?" Brooke demanded to know. "When Will's in his twenties?"
"Of course not Brooke! You think that I want to deprive my son of his mother? Do you think I'm that heartless?"
Brooke was quiet and to be honest I couldn't blame her for being quiet. Yes Bill, you are heartless. Beast like even.
"I'm not the bad guy here Brooke," Bill said trying to defend himself. "You have no idea how many times Katie threatened me when she thought that something was going on with us. She threatened to take over Spencer Publications and-"
"Enough Bill!" Brooke cried. "I don't want to talk to you...not until you make things right with Katie."
"It's not Katie that I came here for Brooke," Bill said loudly and then he went closer to Brooke as his voice soften, "it's you."
Brooke looked at him as if what he was telling her was the most beautiful thing that she ever heard. "Bill please-"
Bill, the scalawag, held onto Brooke's waist and pulled her closer to him. Resist the temptation Logan! Please.
"I know you want me the way that I want you," Bill said searching her eyes, "don't fight this."
He leaned close to Brooke as they kissed. That was my cue to barge in. For some reason I knew Brooke couldn't resist the man. I kicked open the door, chest heaving dangerously.
"Enough games Spencer!" I thundered and at once Brooke and Bill stopped their foolishness to look at me. "You leave Brooke alone."
"Ridge!" Brooke said with a gasp.
"For some reason you just can't stay out of Brooke's business, can you?" Bill said irritably.
I stared at Bill, giving him the most disgusted look that I could think of. And this man was who Caroline wanted to come to her party? I think not.
"Apparently, Brooke is my business Spencer," I said, "whether you like it or not."
I guess that statement angered Bill because he punched me right in the nose.
"Ridge!" Brooke cried as I fell to the floor. "Bill what have you done! I'm calling the police."
"You're not calling anything Brooke," Bill said dangerously.
I slowly got up from the floor. Bill was staring at me, nostrils flaring with anger, while Brooke stood behind him in shock. This man was dangerous as I remembered. What did Katie and Brooke see in him? I placed a finger on my nose as I saw blood on my finger. I walked over to Bill as blood dripped from my nose. "That's the best you can do Spencer?"
Bill glared at me as I grabbed him and tossed him to the floor. With all my anger I started to choke him.
"Stop it! Just stop it!" Brooke cried. "Both of you!"
Bill and I both stopped being brutes as we looked at how upset Brooke had become. I let go of Bill as he pushed me off of him.
"You're all acting like a bunch of animals!" She shouted as tears rolled down her face.
"That's the animal Brooke," Bill accused, pointing to me. He spread his arms as if about to hug her.
"No," Brooke said, backing away, "you leave now Bill."
"But Brooke-"
"I said now Bill."
And I assumed that the scalawag finally got the message. He slowly made his way over to the door. He looked back at Brooke as if he wanted to say something, but nothing came out. He then left and it was about time. I placed a hand on Brooke's shoulder. "You did the right thing." I said. Brooke turned to me and at once she hugged me as she started to sob into my chest. I hugged her back and leaned my cheek on her head. You're going to be okay Logan. You're going to be okay.
