As I waited for Logan to meet me in my office, I chewed thoughtfully on a bland Bran Raisin Bar. I didn't eat any thing all day and I hoped that this tasteless thing would hold me until I got home. I paced back and forth wondering to myself when will I break the news to Caroline. Her birthday was in two days and I still refused to tell her anything. Was it because I was selfish? I don't think so. I just felt like Thomas didn't deserve to have her. He screwed up with her many times and I didn't want him to screw up with her again. Caroline was safer with me and I just didn't feel to let her go. Not now. Not ever.

"Sorry that I didn't come sooner, Ridge. I had to take care of some things at home first before I came to see you."

My pacing came to an end as Logan appeared in the door way wearing that same beautiful pink sheath dress that I had kissed her in a few nights ago. She looked beautiful...then again she always did no matter what she wore.

"You changed your dress I see," I commented as I shoved the last bit of the Bran bar into my mouth. Logan nodded. "Why? Why did you change it?"

"Change of mind I guess," Logan replied with a shrug. It felt like there was more to her reply than what she was saying. Being that she had a rough day with Katie and Bill, I remained to not ask her anything more about her change of outfit. "Are you just going to stare at me all day or do you have something to tell me?"

I didn't realize that I was staring at her so hard until she bought it to my attention. I mean it was hard not to stare too long at her. She was irresistible.

"Right," I said clearing my throat, "I do have a lot to tell you Logan. But first, are you alright?"

Logan took in a sigh. "Let's just say that I've been better."

"Still upset about Katie I presume," I said knowing that Logan was thinking about her loon of a sister.

"Yea," She replied. "It just seems that no matter what I do Katie will never forgive me. She hates me so bad to the point that she almost tried to strangle me to death a few hours ago when I went to see Bill. I tried to explain myself but she would hear none of it."

"Sounds like it's the feud between you and my mother all over again," I said as I folded my arms across my chest.

"Exactly," Logan said, for she knew all too well of that hellish feud. "But I feel more hurt and scared that this is my own sister whose trying to kill me. Stephanie was a whole different story."

"Be scared and hurt not Logan," I said with a smile. "Katie is gone now. There is nothing to fear." When I said those words I sounded like I was Logan's superman. Hope she saw me as a her hero.

"Gone?" Logan asked as if I was speaking a different language. "What do you mean that she's gone?"

"Exactly that," I replied as Logan looked at me confused. "I sent her to Xylo's Rehab where she can get all the help that she needs to become a stable person. Couldn't let her stick around LA much longer, seeing how dangerous she was around you."

"You sent Katie to rehab?!" Logan cried. More like I forced her to go there. "Ridge, how could you?!"

"She wasn't well Logan and you know that," I defended.

"But did you have to send her away without consulting me first?" Logan asked.

"Yes because if I consulted you first Katie would still be here doing God knows what," I answered. "I did this for your own protection Logan."
