"Sasha had no right saying that to you," Maya said angrily. "No right at all!"

"In truth," Daddy agreed. "Who does she think she is?"

It didn't surprise me that Sasha would say something so ridiculous as she did. I knew that she was still obsessed with Zende. After all, she is my sister.

"Then again Julius," Mom said flatly, "she is your  daughter. She had to get such rudeness from either you or her mother."

"Must be her mother," Daddy said quickly. Mom raised an eye brow as if not to believe him.

"She still loves Zende," I said and at once Mom, Dad and Maya looked at me. "That's the only reason why she said that she should be the one in my dress going out with him."

"Well she needs to stop loving him," Daddy said firmly. "He's your's now Nicole, not her's."

"Your father's right," Mom replied, "he is your's. And besides, Sasha is a beautiful girl.  I don't see why she can't find someone else to date."

I didn't see why she couldn't find someone else to date either. Then again, she didn't want to. She wanted Zende for the longest. Ironic it was that she did have him while I was giving birth to my niece. But those days are over now.

Daddy turned to Mom with a solemn expression on his face. "Vivienne, that girl can't love herself. What makes you think she could love someone else?"

"Well Dad," Maya said after she calmed herself down, "she does love Zende."

"Love Zende?" Daddy asked outraged. "Do you think Sasha really loves this boy the way Nicole does?"

Honestly, she might love Zende as equally as I and that was the scary part.

"It's a possibility," Maya responded simply.

"Or do you think that the only reason that she "loves" him is because Nicole is with him?" Daddy continued. And he hit it on the nail.

"That's exactly the reason," I told him.

"In that case then, Sasha needs help," Maya said.

It was more than help that she needed. I turned to Dad, Mom and Maya. "I get that Sasha is my sister and that I promised that I would trust her," I said, "but honestly I can't keep that promise anymore."

"A wise choice baby girl," Daddy said.

Mom looked at me in both shock and disappointment. She wanted Sasha and I to get along but I just couldn't force myself to do something that I didn't feel comfortable with.

"But Nicole you said-" Mom started and I didn't let her finish because I knew that  I said a lot of things in the past.

"No mom," I said firmly, "I don't trust her." Mom gave me a sad look. She probably thought better of me and here I was disappointing her. "I forgave her for all she did in the past but that's all I will do."

Mom sighed. "If that's how you feel sweet heart then I guess I can't stop you."

I knew that she didn't understand but this was how I felt. I leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek. I knew she wanted us all to be one happy family but it was going to be hard to make that  happen. She was still working on forgiving Daddy for not telling her that he cheated on her many years ago and had Sasha with another woman. I don't know how she could forgive him for such a thing but I guess it was because she really did love him.

"Now that that's off my chest, I think I'll go take a shower," I said even though I didn't want to change out of this beautiful dress that Zende bought and unzipped.

     "Go head baby," Mom said.

"And when you get back we want to know how your date with Zende went," Maya said with a smile.

I felt my cheeks go warm. The date with Zende was like a fairy tale dream come true. We had a beautiful dinner, we slow danced and we made love. Just thinking about it over again made me so grateful to have a guy like Zende.

"I'll definitely let you all know," I told them as I headed to the bathroom.

"I wouldn't be surprise if she marries that boy," I heard Daddy say as I closed the bathroom door. Oh what a joy that would be to be married to Zende Forrester Dominguez. Just think I would be Nicole Forrester Dominguez. It already sounded beautiful. I wasn't ready for marriage yet but when I am, I know that it would be to Zende.

I turned on the shower and carefully slid out of my beautiful evening dress. I folded it carefully and sat it on top of the toilet seat. As I got in the shower, I continue to think of Zende. I never loved any man the way that I loved him. I wasn't going to let Sasha, prancing around in her short shorts and belly shirts, take him away from me again. That was a big no in my book.
