Haikyuu X Reader One-Shots

Lev may be a bit OOC in this. I tried my best to tie his character into the plot and dialogue without him seeming too off. In this one-shot, both of you are third years, so I guess pretend he had matured a lot over time? Warning, this is a longer one shot! Enjoy!

"See you later (y/n)!" Lev beamed to his girlfriend as he headed to volleyball practice, "I'll call you, okay?"

She nodded, a small smile barely evident on her face. Lev takes notice of this almost immediately, his face now showing concern,

"Hey...Is something wrong?" He lightly places a hand on her shoulder. She just shakes her head,

"Nothing. I'm fine. Besides, you need to get to practice and I don't want to hold you up."

She turns to walk away but Lev holds her in place, "Practice can wait. What's the matter, baby?"

She just smiled, "Nothing! I'm fine, Lev."

He sighs but doesn't push it any farther, "If you say so," He leaves a kiss on her forehead, "I'll call you after practice."

She nods, "Ok"

Just as promised, Lev called his girlfriend as soon as he got home from practice. He grinned when he heard that she picked up, "Hey, (y/n)!"

"Hello, Lev. How was practice?"

He closed his eyes as he got comfy on his bed, "Eh, good. I got a lot of good spikes in. I bet I looked so cool~"

She giggled through the phone and Haiba's face lit up at the sound of her laughter,

"So, did you eat dinner?"

"Yes, Lev. You don't need to worry about me."

"Yes I do. You're my girlfriend, (y/n). Your health is my top priority."

"That's not good. You're health should be more important, silly!"

"Nonsense." Lev smiles through the phone. He wishes he could hug (y/n) right now, but they are both at home. They had been dating since their first year. Surprisingly, Lev had matured a lot.  He was still childish and adorable, but now he seemed to have more control over what he says and does. Now that both of them are third years, they were both busy and didn't hang out that much after school. Luckily, tomorrow was Saturday, so the two could spend time together. (Y/n) must have thought just that.

"Hey Lev, do you think I could sleep over tomorrow night?"

He beamed, "Of course! You can come over whenever!"

"Ok! Well, goodnight Lev."

"Goodnight, (y/n). See you tomorrow." With that he hung up the phone. That night, he fell asleep excited for tomorrow.

"Hi, (y/n)!" Haiba opened his front door and helped (y/n) bring in her bag. She didn't need to bring much because she had clothes at her boyfriends house for nights like this.

The two chatted for a bit. It was around 7 pm now. Everything was great, except something seemed off. Lev couldn't quite put a finger on it, but there was something different in the way (y/n) smiled and spoke. It was like she was anxious about something.

"(y/n) is something bothering you? You can tell me."

She seemed a bit taken aback by the sudden question. She just gave him a smile, "Nope! I'm fine."

He didn't buy it, "Are you sure? For the past few days you've been acting differently."

"Lev, I said I'm ok," Her look faltered for a moment, "Actually..."
