Michael was though at a very young age to always treat his friends, family and the ones he loved right.

He didn't love Luke yet but he did like him a lot.

Luke's family owned the little arcade place Calum and Michael would always visit and it took Michael almost half a year to convince the younger boy to go with him on a date.

When Luke finally agreed Michael knew he only had one chance.

"Where are we going?" Luke asked when Michael came to pick him up.

They were only fifteen and Michael didn't have his license and it made Luke laugh when his date turned up with a bike that had an extra comfy looking pillow on the back seat.

"Well, you said you like food so we're going to eat."

Luke smiled, he liked Michael. He just wasn't sure if they were too young to go on dates and fall in love.

The younger boy frowned when they had stopped in front of a house. "Why are we here?"

"I live here," Michael explained. "And we're also having our dinner here."

He waited for Luke to get down from the backseat, before stepping down himself and leaning his bike against the wall. Michael offered Luke his elbow which he gladly took as they made their way inside the Clifford residence.

"We're home alone." It's like Michael knew exactly what worried Luke. "You won't run into my mother or anything."

Luke had a bad feeling about the entire thing but didn't have the heart to stop Michael. Michael was always nice to him, he complimented him, brought him a cold drink when he was working on hot summer days and borrowed him his jacket when it was colder.

He hesitated when Michael asked him out the first four or five times because he was sure it was all a bet. Michael and Calum would always giggle before the green-eyed boy would come around to ask the big question. It took a few months and a long letter in which Michael admitted his infatuation and adoration before he said yes.

Michael moved the chair back so Luke could sit behind a nicely decorated table when Luke complimented it the older boy admitted his mother had helped.

Luke asked if he could help Michael but wasn't allowed to. He asked Luke to let Michael spoil him and talk about his day as he carried the food to the table.

Michael prepared an impressive lasagna with a colorful side salad, he even made homemade pink lemonade.

"Michael." Luke knew he couldn't stay quiet any longer. "This looks very good and I appreciate all the effort but.."

"But what?"

"I'm vegan. I don't eat either cheese nor.."

"I know." Michael smiled. "The cheese is vegan and the filling is vegetables only."

Luke frowned.

"I asked your mom if there's anything you don't eat."

"T-that..." Luke stuttered. "That's very thoughtful of you."

"After you finally said yes I had to make sure everything would go well. I wasn't sure if I would ever get another chance if I screw this up."

Luke's smile after that made the whole day of cooking worth it for the fifteen-year-old.

The food was heavenly and so was Michael's movie taste. He made them a sorbet dessert for the film and when Luke got cold and sleepy Michael wanted to get a hoodie for him. Instead, Luke stopped him and snuggled closer to him.

"I'm taking you on a date next week," Luke whispered before he fell asleep.

Michael was completely fine with that.
