"Thank you," Luke mumbled. He wasn't really able to speak properly, his mouth still numb from the anesthetic he got at the dentist.

Michael smiled at his best friend and took his hand, leading him towards his car. "It's nothing Lukey, you came with me when I got my eyebrow pierced. It's only fair I came with you."

He helped the boy into his seat before jumping into the car himself. "I'm so happy you're sleeping over tonight, we can play Sims and eat pizza."

Luke whined and Michael gave him a sympathetic smile. "Sorry. Maybe my mum will make you soup or something."

It became a thing for Michael to hold Luke's hand whenever he drove. Luke didn't question it because he didn't want him to stop.

"Will I..." The blond boy started. "Could I sleep in your bed tonight? I really don't want to sleep on the floor."

"Of course, I can totally sleep on the floor."

"No, no." Luke interrupted. "I want us both to sleep there. I liked it when we cuddled last week." His cheeks turned pink but if Michael's smile was anything to go by, he wanted it just as much.

"Is this okay?" Michael asked as he pressed his chest against Luke's back and cuddled him close. They were both in their pajamas, exhausted from their productive gaming evening.

Luke wiggled a bit before turning around. Without a word, he shifted Michael's body so he was lying on his back, before tucking his head under his chin.

"Now I'm okay."

Michael giggled but hugged his friend anyway. He closed his eyes for a second, he could feel Luke's warm breath against his neck and it was driving him insane.

"Lukey?"

"Yes?"

Michael looked down to see his best friend was already staring at him.

"Kiss me goodnight?"

Luke grinned and nodded. Michael closed his eyes just before Luke's soft lips touched his.

He let out a pleased sigh and cuddled Luke closer.

"Goodnight Mikey," Luke whispered against his lips and Michael only smiled before falling asleep with his favorite person next to him.
