So I kinda forgot about Valentine's day but I write fluff every other day so here's something for you all since I'll be editing the smut chapter for Dirty tomorrow. So that will be the gift as well. And if you don't have a Valentine I volunteer! ♡

"So what are we doing for Valentine's Day?" Michael casually asked Luke when they were binge-watching The OC.

Luke turned towards his boyfriend with a frown on his face. "I thought you didn't like Valentine's day?"

The older man shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I like you."

Luke smiled and kissed his boy's cheek. "You're cute."

"So what are we doing?"

"I just talked to my mum today..." The blue-eyed man started. "My parents are coming to town. It was my brother's birthday a couple of days ago so they're organizing a family dinner."

Michael shrugged his shoulders once more. "That's okay. We can do something the day after. I just want to treat you to something nice."

"That'd be sweet. But I actually wanted to invite you to come along." Luke placed his hand in Michael's and squeezed it. "I know you don't have the best relationship with your parents and I won't force you to come. Both my mum and dad would love to meet you so you're definitely invited and wanted there."

"That'd be nice. And since the restaurants on V day will be filled with people you could invite everybody here, to our apartment. I mean it's big enough and we can always order takeaway."

Luke wasn't sure if it was that Michael just called his apartment their or the fact that he was so thoughtful but he realized he really loved him.

"So Michael." Luke's mum asked once they were halfway through their dinner. "What is that you do for a living?"

"I draw," Michael answered with a mouthful of food earning a kick under the table from Luke. His boyfriend warned him his mother was a teacher so she liked manners.

"Like paint or anything more specific?"

She was nice, she had a warm smile on her face and didn't look like she'd disapprove of his career choice or sexual orientation.

"That too. But mostly I illustrate books and create comics. In the past year, I've started to do some animation but I still need practice on that."

"He's being modest." Luke interfered. "He always is. His short animation won a big award."

"I think you're perfect for each other then." Luke's father added. "You always make it seem like everything you do is unimportant when it isn't." He said to his youngest son.

"I totally agree," Michael added enthusiastically. "Luke's the smartest person I know and he always brushes the fact that he got the most wanted internship."

He stuffed another forkful of noodles into his mouth and missed the approving look Luke's mum gave to her son.
