Michael was absolutely freezing. He loved his dog but why did he had to love winter so freaking much?

There was nothing more fun to Shady than searching for the snowballs Michael threw in the huge piles of snow. It's not like he could find them.

But love was love and seeing his black tail wiggle side to side made him the happiest.

Since he had no intention of getting his hands wet and cold, Michael brought the yellow tennis ball with him so he didn't have to make snowballs.

There were in the dog park for almost an hour already and the one-year-old border collie still didn't get tired of fetching the ball.

"What about..." Michael asked his dog who was sitting in front of him after he returned the ball to his owner. "We go back home, get dry, make ourselves a cup of tea or hot chocolate and watch a movie."

Shady just tilted his head to one side, his eyes peeled on the ball in Michael's hands.

"That sounds nice."

Michael quickly turned and saw the tall, broad-shouldered blonde to whom he borrowed a dog poo bag last week, and some dog biscuits a week before.

"Yes, it does. But Shady here needs at least another hour of exercise otherwise we'll have to go out once more in the evening. If I tire her out enough she'll be asleep by eight."

The guy laughed and it was a really nice laugh and it didn't really help that Michael already thought the guy was hot. Of course, Michael knew that he was flirting with him whenever he approached Michael. He saw the man had his own poo bags in his back pocket.

"You named your dog after Eminem?"

"Yes. Is there anything wrong with that?"

The man shook his head. "My dog is Elvis so I actually think it's great."

Right on time, the golden retriever ran past Michael and Shady ran behind him. By now they were friends and that was more than we could say about their owners.

"But hey, if you want hot chocolate there's another dog park a ten-minute walk away from here and they have a cafe next to it."

"Are you asking me on a date?"

The tall blondie shrugged his shoulders. "If this will be the third no I'll give up, but yes. A date or maybe a drink where I could ask you out on a proper date."

Shady ran to his owner and Michael put him on his leash. It was getting too cold for him. For Michael, definitely not for his pup.

"What do you mean the third no?" Michael would definitely notice if the hot guy would ask him out before.

The blondie looked confused.

"A few weeks ago you gave me some treats for Elvis and I asked if you'd go and check the new dog bakery and you blew me off saying your mum makes them for you. And then I put a piece of paper with my number on it behind your dog's collar and I saw that you threw it away."

"That was yours?" Michael said in complete surprise. "I thought that woman with chihuahuas wrote it down."

The blondie chuckled and shook his head. "No that was me."

Michael mentally slapped himself. "Okay."

"Okay, what?" The man grinned and Michael couldn't believe that this was happening.

"I'll go on a pre-date hot chocolate with you."

The man stepped closer to Michael. "I'm Luke."

"Michael. Now let's go before the chihuahua woman sees us and joins us."
