The first or one of the first one shots in this book is • happy daddy • and I wanted to do a little remake with a teenage son and Luke actually being the teacher (the original is cute so you should read it if you like this!)

"Dad please."

Michael looked from his own reflection in the mirror to his son. Who at fourteen looked almost like his reflection.

"Dylan... Don't you want me to be happy?"

Michael's son rolled his eyes as he knew what was coming.

"I mean," Michael said dramatically. "Ever since you were born, you've been my number one priority. I've given up everything for you and you won't even let me date Mr. Hemmings."

"He's my teacher," Dylan laughed. "And you haven't even asked him out. He could say no."

They both had a feeling he wouldn't. Their flirting in the past three years only grew and even one of the other mums from school hinted to Michael that Mr. Hemmings likes men.

Michael walked over and hugged his son. At least he was still shorter than him. "Now you're telling me I'm not hot enough? You do know you get half of your genes from me?"

Dylan hugged his dad back and admitted his defeat. "Just, please. Wait for me to leave school, I don't want to watch him daydream about my handsome father during our math class."

"Deal."

"You know Mr. Clifford. I still don't know why you bother with coming to the parent-teacher meetings. Your son is at the top of the class, he has straight As in math... I really think there are better ways for you to spend your evenings."

Michael smirked. Spending his evenings with Mr. Hemmings on the other side of the table were his favorite.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me."

Luke closed his notes thinking that that was the end of his last parent meeting of the day.

"You've raised your son beautifully."

Michael literally beamed. "You have his mother to thank."

Dylan's teacher frowned. "I thought you are a single parent."

"Exactly. This way I got to raise him how I wanted. He turned out great."

Mr. Hemmings started giggling making Michael even happier he was there.

"Actually I came to talk to you about something. Dylan doesn't talk about it because unlike his father he's modest." Luke smiled again and Michael wasn't sure if he was maybe trying too hard. "He got an early acceptance letter to one of the best music schools in Sydney. I know it's mid-semester but with his grades and talent I'm sure there won't be a problem."

"That's amazing! I wish he'd tell me about it sooner. We'll definitely miss him."

Michael smiled, Luke looked genuinely sad and it made him happy his son will be missed.

"He leaves in two weeks and if you want to embarrass him in front of the class or something you have my consent."

The Math teacher seemed to ignore this. "So this is our last meeting I guess."

"About that." Michael got Luke's attention. "Now that you officially won't be Dylan's teacher I wondered if you would go out with me. You know on a meeting where you'd talk about your life and not my son."

Luke blushed. "You-you mean like a date?"

"Of course. But we can call it Michael-Luke meeting to make it more fun."

He giggled again and opened his diary. "Two weeks you say?"

Michael nodded and leaned over the table to see what he was writing. "Reserve the first possible date after that. I already know you like Thai food and your favorite flowers are peonies."

Michael never told his son that his step-dad and he did have their first official date after he left the school but had their first kiss long before that.
