Every August for the past six years Luke had attended his favorite music festival.

He listened to the same music genre if not even the same musicians, he camped in the same tent, ate the same food and went there with the same friends.

Every year except last one he'd meet the most beautiful boy with sage green eyes in the front row of the third concert on the second day.

The first year his favorite band Sum 41 were performing his favorite song With me and Luke was so in love with the moment he didn't notice his flower crown falling down.

Luckily for him, there was a photographer there who picked it up for him, placed it on his head and complimented how it looked. When Luke wasn't aware he took the picture of him and the boy with the flower crown made it onto all the posters and even tickets for next year's festival.

Luke knew nothing about him except what he presumed were his initials as a watermark on the picture.

Next year they've met again and as the festival got more popular the crowd got bigger.

Eighteen at the time, Luke still had a few centimeters to grow in and muscle weight to gain so he was squeezed against the front fence. He knew there will be bruises on his skin the next day but he was saved by the same photographer. guy. He had a spare photo pass and gave it to Luke to save him from the crowd and possible injuries.

Later that evening in the press tent he learned the boy's name was Michael and he was actually just a year older than him. He had to leave but they had promised to meet again, same stage, same concert, same day, next year.

Luke, who had just broken up with his boyfriend was absolutely hammered when the occasion happened the next year. Michael already had a pass ready for him but he ended up taking care of the boy instead of taking pictures.

Michael called Luke's brother and informed him he'll take him to his trailer to sober up and before Luke left the next morning he kissed Michael goodbye.

He wanted so much more but he knew things maybe weren't meant to be and he'd rather have Michael for a few moments every year than to not have him at all.

Next year or the year before this one Michael didn't show up. Luke contemplated asking the other photographers or staff about him but knew he was just testing his luck.

So this year on the second day, the third concert that day Luke stayed in the back. He didn't want to get his hopes up or get disappointed yet again.

He didn't know the band that was performing, Luke heard they were good but wasn't in the best mood to be there.

That was until they were introduced to the stage and on the big screen, Luke recognized no other than Michael in the middle of the stage with a guitar in his hand. The younger boy smiled widely and made it to the front row in record time.

It was clear Michael was looking for him and when their gazes met both of them grinned at each other.

Their set was amazing. Michael's band was absolutely incredible.

Before they even finished, Luke was approached by another photographer who asked if his name was Luke and gave him a pass. This time a VIP one.

He climbed over the fence and when he made it backstage after the final song he was already crushed in a tight hug.

Time had stopped when Luke felt Michael's skin pressed against his.

"I've missed you so much," Michael admitted when they stopped hugging.

They both ignored wolf whistles coming from what Luke presumed were Michael's bandmates.

"You weren't here last year." Luke pouted. He was happy right now but still wanted an explanation.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't working last year and I tried to come only to see you but I didn't have a ticket and none of my friends could get me in. It's my fault, I'm so so sorry."

Luke smiled and gently touched Michael's face. "You're here now and that's all that matters."

Michael kissed him after that and Luke couldn't believe it was happening.

"C'mon." The musician grabbed his hand and pulled him in the direction of trailers and when they finally came to the one, Luke presumed was Michael's, Luke already missed Michael's lips on his.

"Give me your phone," Luke whispered between kisses.

Michael asked why but passed him the phone anyway. Luke saved his contact, making sure he wrote the number down correctly. "I'm not losing you again."

The older boy grinned before pressing their lips together once more.

Michael picked him up from the floor, causing Luke to giggle and to lose his flower crown which fell to the floor. After gently placing him on the bed and pecking his lips, Michael picked up to the crown and placed it back on Luke's curls.

The two of them kissed and cuddled for the rest of the day. They missed many concerts but Luke knew there were many more to come.
