Michael wasn't just a bit upset. He was quite angry.

Not sure at who because in the back of his mind there was a voice telling him it was his fault for buying flowers for Mother's Day at the last minute.

The main voice in his head, meaning his, was blaming everybody else since why did they buy so many flowers? Not that their mothers didn't deserve them but they could have left at least one decent flower he could bring home to his mum.

Michael knew he could still just bring her chocolate and she'll be happy but the woman loved flowers more than anything else.

Any Michael loved her more than anything else.

Except for hopefully one day, he'll love his soulmate more.

He texted his friends and Ashton recommended a small flower shop a few minutes out of town. Michael's friend once helped with the sound system inside of the shop but couldn't remember how big their selection of flowers was.

At this point Michael was desperate so he entered the name of the shop into his phone and followed the direction. In times like this, he really wished his magic element would be earth just so he could grow the flowers for his mother himself.

His dad's magic was fire and while he could cook food with just his hands, he burned a gift or two too.

Ashton didn't lie. The shop was small.

It had a lot of potted plants in front of the shop and they were all beautiful. They also didn't have any prices on so Michael hoped they were for sale.

He entered the shop without checking the door. The sound system Ashton had installed seemed to be working amazingly as the loud music was on full blast.

The room was filled with flowers and greenery and Michael had to take a few steps to notice a boy sitting on the floor. He was singing and what looked like repotting plants but Michael wasn't an expert.

"Hello!" Michael shouted and got the boy's attention.

When he looked up Michael immediately noticed the bright blue eyes.

The boy blushed and found a remote to turn down the volume. "Hi, I'm sorry. I didn't hear you come in."

He stood up and wiped the dirt off his flower-filled apron. "Are you a supplier? Do you need to talk to my mum? I mean... my boss?"

Michael frowned. "Umm... I came to buy some flowers?"

The boy seemed just as confused as Michael was.

"My friend told me about this place and I can't find one decent looking flower anywhere and all I want is to make my mum happy."

The boy cracked a smile. "All flowers are decent looking. Actually, I think they're all beautiful."

"I'm sorry."

And then he started laughing and Michael was the one starting to blush.

"It's fine. Not everybody is a fan of the unconventional beauty, I know."
