The room was filled with heavy breathing and the window of their small room was steamed up from the heat that their bodies were giving away.

Michael was burning.

His skin was hot. Everywhere Luke touched him felt like lava was dripped over his pale body.

His heart was on fire.

It was beating fast from the love and the orgasm that filled his veins with nothing but pleasure. The pure love was filling his lungs with flowers and whenever he breathed in, he was inhaling the intoxicated scent of his lover. Both addicting and alarming.

Michael was aware of the effect the sunshine in a form of a man lying on his chest had on him. He knew it was equally as bad as it was good to love him.

"Michael?"

His favorite star looked at him and just a gaze into his powerful, enchanting blue eyes felt like a storm starting up in his soul.

Rain and lighting. Thunder and wind.

He reached to touch his flushed cheek and his heart almost completely burned down when Luke leaned against the palm of his head, closed his eyes, and smiled.

His words came out as weak and his voice was croaky like he had just woken up. In a way he did. Michael woke up from a dream.

"Yes, my love?"

Luke's smile somehow widened and he opened them again.

The storm was gone and the sun was back.

"Do you think we'll be together forever?"

Michael didn't expect this question. Not that it was unusual that Luke questioned his love. He was broken and hurt before. The older man just didn't expect it now, when all he could feel was love for every inch of his soft skin, every cell and atom of his body.

"I'm not sure." He said quietly and Luke quickly looked away as this clearly wasn't the answer he was expecting.

He used the hand that was on his cheek to guide his face, his beautiful eyes back to his.

"I love you." His words were soft but powerful. Straightforward but confusing.

"I don't remember how life was before I loved you." He continued. "I can't imagine the world without loving you."

Luke was completely concentrated on him.

His eyes were looking at his lover, his ears listening to him, there was still a taste of Michael on Luke's tongue and he could feel his heartbeat because he was so close to him.

"But I can't say we'll be together forever. I know I'll love you forever but there could be a time where us being together won't be the best decision for us and because I love you, I'd let you go."

Luke looked away and bit his lip.

This time Michael didn't force him into looking up, he knew his soulmate was thinking. Searching for words to express his thoughts and feelings.

"I can't imagine a time where us being together won't be the best decision for me."

Michael smiled and pushed the golden, damp curls back.

"Then we'll be together forever."

They both started laughing and Luke climbed up so he could kiss him.

Now, the younger man's hands were on his face and they were like ice against his burning cheeks.

Calming him down, putting down the fire but leaving the ember glowing.

With their chests pressed together, Michael could feel Luke's heartbeat in sync with his. Luke was like the weather and Michael could feel him everywhere.
