Luke was looking through the window, procrastinating from writing his essay.

In reality, all he wanted to do was sleep and cuddle. Preferably his boyfriend who lived seventeen thousand kilometers away from him.

He closed the Word document and opened a Sims game. At least that way time would move faster and in a few hours, he would talk to Michael.

When his phone rang he didn't expect it to be Michael as it was only nine in the evening in London which meant Michael was calling at six in the morning Sydney time.

Luke answered and his frown turned into a smile as soon as Michael's sleepy face popped up on his screen.

"Hi." Michael rasped and he looked so comfortable wrapped into a blanket with his bleached hair sticking in different directions.

"Hi, babe." Luke pushed the computer away and climbed under the covers as well. "Why are you up so early?"

"Your mum texted me about an hour ago telling me you're sad."

"How does my mum have your number?" The younger of the two questioned.

Michael giggled and his day was already turning for the better.

"When your son is dating someone who lives on the other side of the world wouldn't you make sure he wasn't catfished?"

Luke shook his head. "I wouldn't allow my son to have a long-distance relationship."

Michael's smile was sad but he understood Luke's pain.

"Don't say that beautiful."

Luke wiped away the tears that fell down his face. "I just miss you being here and we've never even seen each other. Today I had a dream about living with you and it was so real..."

He broke down in tears and it killed Michael he couldn't be there to make him feel better.

"I'll be there soon. I know six months seems like a long wait but we've known each other for three years, dated for more than a year. Time will fly by but I'll still call you every day so you won't even get the chance to miss me."

Luke smiled. "I love you."

"I do too. Now since I'm up we can play a video game if you want to?"

I thought long-distance relationship one shot would be cute as I've never done it before.
