Michael was half awake and also freezing so he decided to leach onto his boyfriend to steal his body heat for the remaining time before his alarm would go on.

Sadly, for both his body temperature and mental happiness Luke was nowhere to be seen. Or felt, more exactly since Michael had yet to open his eyes for the first time that day.

Hopefully, he patted the empty space next to him a couple of times. Maybe he rolled away, maybe he even rolled on the floor. The last thought made him roll over to the edge of the bed himself to check if there was anyone sleeping on the floor.

When Michael actually opened his eyes he noticed that one, Luke was not there and two, it was already bright outside. And that kind of light was not a positive sign when Michael complained the day before how he'd have to wake up before the dawn.

In a panic, he sat up and reached for his phone but couldn't see it because of the note that was attached to it.

He checked the time and saw it was almost eleven, but weirdly he had no missing calls or texts, yelling at him that he was late.

Michael frowned, his brain still not awake and even more confused than before. He picked up the note and recognized Luke's handwriting.

DON'T FREAK OUT – YOU'RE NOT LATE TO ANYTHING! (:

A huge weight fell off Michael's shoulder because he knew even in the worst-case scenario – that it was a prank – he could still blame Luke for writing him this note.

Feldy texted me in the morning and told me that he mixed up some things so we're going in the studio in the evening.

I turned off your alarm clock and decided to go on a run before you wake up, so you won't complain when I'd ask you to go with me.

I almost stopped writing this, saying that I'll get us some breakfast on the way back (which I will don't worry) but you just stirred in your sleep and started mumbling things while frowning. I grabbed your hand and you immediately stopped and smiled and slept on. I almost started crying because you look so beautiful and because I'm lucky that you're mine.

You're going to make fun of me for this later but I don't care.

I just want you to wake up to this and know that you, Michael Clifford, mean the world to me. I love you so much that I just want to wake you up with kisses and tell you just how much.

But just because I do love you I'll let you sleep.

I hope that once you wake up I'll be back already or soon because I can't wait to kiss you.

Michael had the biggest smile on his face and when he heard the door unlock a couple of minutes later he rushed to greet his boyfriend.

So my boss texted me that we don't work tomorrow so the first thing I do when I learn I have more time to study for my last exam? I write.

And I need to stop telling people I'm 23.
