"Why are you here?"

Luke turned away from the corner where the amateur band was practicing to the tanned boy he knew was Michael's friend.

"Umm... I'm here watching the band and drinking juice?" He raised his eyebrow at the boy who was clearly not impressed that he was here.

It was a public place and it wasn't his first Friday spent here.

"If you're here for Michael you can leave."

Luke frowned. "What's your problem?"

Calum laughed and shook his head. "I'm not stupid Luke and neither is Michael. The real problem is that Mikey actually likes you and you coming here whenever you get dumped to see him practice and flirt with him later is getting old."

The blond boy bit his lip to prevent the rage building up inside of him escape.

"Don't act like I'm wrong. Michael's my best friend and he tells me things. Like how he invited you to their first gig last month and you told him you'll be there. Remember that?"

A rush of horror ran through Luke's veins. He forgot about that completely.

Calum sighed. "Look, I'm not here to accuse you of anything but if you have any cruel intentions please leave Michael alone. He was heartbroken when you didn't come and when he then found out you went to your boyfriend-at-the-time's game. This has been going on for too long and I'm just looking out for him, so if there's a cell in your body that cares about Michael think well before you hurt him again."

"It was never my intention to hurt him." Luke managed to mumble.

The brown eyes softened just a bit and Calum stood up. "If you mean it, they're playing another gig here tomorrow."

Luke glanced across the room and saw the black-haired boy he's been flirting with for the past few months. He looked amazing singing and playing the guitar, the best thing about it was his smile and just the thought of Michael not smiling made Luke's heart clench.

His intention was to hang out a bit longer and talk to the boy, but after his conversation with Calum, he picked up his things and left.

The next day Luke walked to the bar even though his mum offered to drive him.

It wasn't a short walk but he needed some fresh air to collect his thoughts. Calum was right, Michael seemed very excited when Luke said he'll come to his band's first concert. It only slipped through Luke's mind once the hottest basketball player asked him to come to the game and to the party after.

When Luke came to the party after a very boring game he quickly realized he wasn't the only one that was invited to hook up with him.

He, of course, told Michael all about it the next day as he always did. Whenever something happened to Luke, new date, new heartbreak, Michael was always the first one to know.
