Brilliant, Luke thought as the first raindrop landed on his cheek.

It was the only day in weeks he forgot his umbrella at home and of course, it started raining.

At first, he was positive he'll make it to Ashton's place just fine and getting just a bit wet but he was completely soaked halfway there.

"Damn it." Luke cursed and ran into the closest cafe he saw.

The seconds he was inside he texted Ashton to come and pick him up with an umbrella. Luke looked around the place, it was cozy and warm and he immediately felt bad for the mess he made with the water dripping from his sweater.

He took a second to fix his curls that became out of control because of the rain before he walked to the counter.

"Babe, you're going to get sick."

Luke looked up and noticed the barista was looking at him with a worried expression.

And Luke wanted to say something back, he really wanted to, but the guy was breathtaking. Pale skin, soft eyes, and the kindest smile he has ever seen.

"Are you okay?" The barista asked. His name tag said, Michael.

"Nice pin," was all Luke managed to say.

Michael looked down at his apron and saw the rainbow flag pinned next to his name tag. He smiled widely. "Thank you. Do you want one?"

Only then Luke noticed the cafe was filled with different LGBT+ flags and on the counter was a basket filled with pride flag pins.

"It's one euro and all the profit goes to LGBT+ supporting organizations. We have a theme every month and since it's June the theme is pride."

"That's amazing." Luke smiled and even though he freezing, his heart felt warm.

"I'll have one pin and a cup of tea while I wait for my friend to come and rescue me with an umbrella."

The barista nodded and passed Luke a clean cloth. "Try and dry yourself a bit, we also have blankets in that corner so make yourself comfortable while you wait for your drink."

"Thank you so much." Luke smiled and did what Michael said. He sat down and observed people on the street that were either stupid as him and without an umbrella or with one but were still rushing to get to their rain-free destination.

He didn't even notice Michael as he put the tray on the table. "Here you go, sweetheart."

Luke shyly thanked the flirtatious boy and blushed as he looked down at his cup of tea.

"Please take this." Michael offered him a black hoodie. "It's old and I only keep it at work in case of emergencies and this seems like one."

Luke took it and thanked him. It was hard not to look at someone that beautiful but when he did look at Michael he started to blush all over again.

"I hope the rain didn't ruin your day, lovely."

"It won't." They smiled at each other and as Michael left him he found some courage in him. "It's Luke." He added, not because he didn't like being called all those sweet words but because for some reason he wanted Michael to know his name.

"Okay, pretty Luke."

Luke drank his tea slowly as he waited for Ashton who was just a couple of minutes away according to his texts. He kept glancing at the counter and Michael was always looking and smiling at him.

The bell above doors rang and Michael smiled at the visitor. "Hi, Ash."

"Oh, hi. I didn't know you work today." He looked around and saw Luke was the only customer. "I just came to pick my friend up."

Michael smiled widely and winked at Luke making him blush yet again. "So pretty Luke was waiting for you?"

"Easy there, Clifford." Ashton smiled too when he saw that Luke didn't mind the compliment. "If you'll give me some free cookies next time I'll maybe give you his number." He then turned to Luke. "I'm going to use the restroom and then we're leaving."

Luke nodded and when Ashton left he stood up and took his cup of tea to the counter.

"I'd like the bill please..." Luke said to Michael. "A-and maybe you should put your number on it as well just so I can return the hoodie to you."

"You can keep the hoodie but I'll gladly give you my number." Michael smiled. "I'd really like to take you out some time but I'll only do it if you'll write to me."

And no, the rain didn't ruin Luke's day, it just made his life much better.
