"Luke." Michael softly said his husband's name.

Luke who was lying, or better said sleeping on the pool float smiled to himself and used his hands to paddle himself from the middle of the pool to where he heard Michael's voice.

They've been on their honeymoon for only three days and Luke already knew when in two weeks they'll have to leave, he won't want to. He was sleeping on the float and every now and then Michael would put a fresh layer of sunscreen on him.

That what love felt like.

He was expecting Michael's soft hands on his skin and a cold layer of the creme. Not a splash of water.

Luke wanted to complain but he soon realized that Michael didn't splash him just jumped into the pool as well. Michael in the pool with him sounded okay.

Slowly, Luke raised his head, and sleepily smiled. "Hi."

"You've been in the sun for too long, sunshine." His husband smiled and pecked his lips.

Luke grinned. "I'm not you, you know. I don't melt in the sun."

The newlyweds smiled at each other. "I burn, not melt."

"So punk rock." Luke teased but regretted it immediately when Michael pulled him off the pool float.

He wanted to scream, complain, whine and moan but it did feel nice against his hot skin and Michal didn't push him under the water but against his chest. "You think that now that we're married you can talk to me like that, huh?"

There was a beautiful view behind Michael but all Luke saw was him.

"It's why you fell for me when we were fourteen. Me being mean to you."

Michael laughed. "I'm pretty sure that was me, sweetheart."

Luke kissed him because he wanted and because he could. He wanted to kiss Michael when they were thirteen and hated each other. Back then he thought it was wrong but now he knew it was the best thing to do under the sun.

"C'mon, let's get out of the water." The older man kissed his cheek. "I made you lunch."

"Really?" Luke raised his eyebrows.

"Of course," Michael laughed. "Need to prove to you I was worth marrying."

If it was either a joke or insecurity, Luke wasn't having it.

"You're the most perfect husband, Michael. Like you were the best fiancé and boyfriend before that. You love me unconditionally and that's all I want and need."

He kissed him to seal in his words.

"So, you don't want my pasta salad?" Michael teased and Luke's stomach grumbled just thinking about it made both of them laugh.

Luke could survive just from Michael's kisses and pasta salad for the rest of his life.
