tw: this is a Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (and Love, Simon) spoiler. Kind off. So don't read if you haven't seen the movie or read the book yet.

Michael walked over to his locker and couldn't wait to pick up his things and go home.
He had enough of that day and he really just wanted to go home and listen to music alone in his room. And maybe cry a little because just everything seemed to suck at the moment.
When he opened up his locker an envelope fell out and he sighed audibly before he leaned over to reach for it.
Dear Lonely, (or should I call you Michael? I'm not sure.)
you haven't been replying to my emails recently and I'm sorry if it has something to do with the fact that I don't want you to know who I am.
I guess I'm just scared but you've been nothing amazing and sweet and lovely to me.
If you can, drop by the beach today at six. I know you don't like to go outside but the sea calms me down and will hopefully help me not to freak out too much.
I do really like you.
Love, L
p.s.: if you'll check your emails remember that I missed talking to you
Michael smiled and neatly folded the paper back into the envelope. There was something fluttering in his stomach and he felt a bit dizzy.
He too felt both excited and scared. L, his L, knew who he was and still wanted to meet with him.
When he was on the bus home he checked his phone and logged into his other, fake email account.
There were eight emails, one for every day he didn't reply to L.
They were funny and lovely and made Michael feel like an idiot for not writing back to him.
The thing was, Michael proposed for them to meet a few days ago and L didn't show up. At least he didn't come to speak with Michael but he heard someone leaving the music room before he could see who it was.
Michael kissed and hugged his mum and she was just happy her son was himself once again. She was surprised but allowed him to borrow her car. He ignored Calum's calls and FIFA invites because he had to be at the beach in two hours.
He showered, changed his clothes, and cologne three times.
Since it was winter the beach was empty and the wind was quite strong. Michael was ten minutes early so he sat down on the swing or the least sandy object on the otherwise small space.
L didn't have to explain which beach it was since he wrote about it to Michael in numerous emails.
He couldn't explain how he was feeling at that moment. He was excited and scared and he felt like he was a kid all over again and it was Christmas.
Michael always knew he'll get an amazing gift he just never knew what exactly it'll be.
So right now he felt the same.
"I thought I'll be early." A soft voice spoke behind him and Michael's mind was quicker than his body because he realized who was standing behind him before he could see him.
Blond curls and blue eyes. It was the L Michael crossed off his list because the Luke Hemmings just couldn't be gay.
Luke's grinned turned into a soft smile and he looked nervous. That was good since Michael wasn't exactly calm either.
Michael stood up the moment Luke asked to sit next to him.
"I-I'm."
He wasn't sure if he was expected to say something funny.
"Hi, Lonely," Luke spoke again and the way his eyes traced over his face made Michael feel things.
A lot of good things.
"Hello." Michael smiled and stepped a small step closer to Luke who immediately held out his hand for him to take.
It might seem like too soon but it was his L, the boy who was a big part of his life for the past six months. The prettiest boy in school.
Michael grabbed the offered hand and he noticed how soft Luke's hands were.
His lips looked soft too.
"In what alternative universe is my secret pen pal the cutest boy from school?"
Luke's smile was an immediate favorite of Michael's.
"Pen pal?" He smiled and stepped just a bit closer. "I had dreams about you that no pal should have about their friend."
"Oh yeah?" Michael stepped closer as well and could now feel Luke's breath on his face.
Luke seemed familiar to him and it wasn't the occasional talk about homework or Luke's stupid but cute remarks about the bands on Michael's shirts. It was the Luke who made Michael smile with his stories about his days, with adorable cat YouTube videos and oh so lovely words that were meant just for Michael to read.
"Have you dreamt about kissing me?" Michael asked.
"I didn't allow myself to, I could never..."
Before he could finish Michael pressed their lips together.
Firmly but soft at the same time.
Strange but familiar.

I've read the book two times in three days. A poetry. If any of my work made anyone feel 1% of the love that I feel for this book I'm satisfied.
Thoughts?
Do you have any other bxb book recommendations for me? (CMBYN is waiting for me at home)
