Third Person P.O.V
Heath had promised Amber he would take her out the following Friday night as it was the first night in months she was free from school work. He planned to take her to the local sushi restaurant as it was somewhere she often craved, though never went because she knew Heath wasn't a major sushi fan. Because of this, Heath worse his white button up with black skinny jeans and his crocodile boots, making sure his hair was in perfect condition as well as his beard. He was currently driving to the restaurant, hand in hand with Amber when he looked over at her. She was staring out the window, staring at the scenery as Heath passed it by. He admired her taking the time to match him, wearing a long sleeve white bodysuit with a high waisted black, skater skirt that flowed mid-thigh. He nudged her thigh, still hand in hand with her. "You look amazing, baby."
HeShe smiled, bringing his hand up to her mouth to kiss it lightly. Heath went back to watching the road, turning right and into the parking lot while mber spoke. "Do me a favor? Can you try not to drink as much tonight. I was thinking maybe we could all take a break before Scott's birthday tomorrow."
Heath felt a hint of annoyance, not liking when Amber would attempt to play mom with him. He decided to not say anything, not wanting to ruin the night for her. "I'll play the D.D. I'll have one beer and you can have as many martinis as that tight little ass can handle."
Amber giggled, rolling her eyes, and going back to the window. Once they parked, Heath got out of the truck as did Amber, locking the doors behind them. Heath opened the door for her as well as slidd her chair out for her, earning a smirk on Amber's face. Heath fixed the napkin in his lap as thy ordered their drinks before Amber said something to Heath. He continued to scan the menu in front of him as she did so. "So... You have your big-boy pants on today. What's the occasion?"
Heath looked at her taken back, though he knew she was smarter than him and would have seen right past him if he lied. He shook his head, looking back down at the menu. "I just want everything to be nice for you, tonight. You work so hard and I hate seeing you stressed out, baby."
Amber paused for a moment, looking Heath over as she took a sip of her martini. Heath looked up at her, wide-eyed. "That was the sweetest thing you've ever said to me."
"Well, I mean it." Heath grinned, shrugging as he took a sip of his beer before continuing. "I hate knowing I can't help you because most of that stuff I didn't have to do. I mean... When you take the criminology and psych classes, I can help. But until then... I just love you and want to help you."
Amber was stopped by the waiter who took their orders, though she continued to stare at Heath in a state of shock. She answered the waiter in a monotone trance, causing Heath to give her a strange look. The waiter noticed as well, walking away quickly once he scribbled everything down. She dropped her jaw, shaking her head in disbelief before she collected herself. "That was the first time you ever said I love you" Heath's face reddened, causing him to caug in order to try and compose herself. 'I love you, too."
Heth grabbed her left hand, tickling her knuckles as his lips quickly kissed each finger before he set it down on the table. "Good. I wouldn't of known what to do if you didn't."Katie's P.O.V
I sighed, pulling a beige, suede love seat that matched my wrap around couch towards my office. I placed it inside, deciding to use it in my office to film as my new step up. I wiped the sweat from my forehead, wiping it off on my black, Nike shorts. I readjusted my black, Nike sports bra as I walked into my living room, examining my work.
My living room was on the first floor of my loft. After moving out of Gabbie's, I sold the GTR and was able to buy a two-story loft. It reminded me of a Brooklyn coffeeshop as the majority of the walls were a light beige accented by grey, white, and sand colored bricks. I had gotten furniture and artwork to match the aesthetic of the bricks as well as the black trim along the walls and the staircase. I felt at ease, finally able to relax and make my nightly cup of coffee. I walked into the kitchen, browsing my instagram as I popped a K-Pod into my Keurig. I placed a large white mug with black polka dots all over it underneath, brewing sixteen ounces of Cafe Bustelo into my cup.
I placed my phone down on my counter, going to my black fridge, opening it to grab half and half. I walked over to my coffee just as my phone rang, a name I never expected to pop up being the culprit. My body went numb and I shook my head, realizing it must have been a mistake. I grabbed my coffee from the Keurig when It finished, preparing my cup as my phone began to ring again. I stopped, screaming the cap on my half and half and going to put it away as I balanced my phone in between my ear and my shoulder. "Uhm... Hello?"
"Thirty-three Oakview Hill, right? I got your new address when Gabbie had to send your mail to your new place." The voice sounded shaky, though I knew the tone well. I didn't say anything when I heard a knock on my door. "Please just open up."
