"I don't appreciate that bullshit." I rolled my eyes, packing an overnight bag on the kitchen counter as Gabbie played tug of war with Charlie. "I'm starting to think all of these pranks are more for his sick pleasure than they are for the videos."
Gabbie laughed lightly in an attempt to relieve my anger. She stood up from the hardwood floor, continuing to whip the red, white, and blue, braided rope around in a circle as Charlie chased her. "I think that you just need a girl's night to relax yourself... You're still okay with Amber coming, right?"
"By the way you keep checking in on me, I would say you're the one who's not okay with it." I rolled my neck as I spoke in an attempt to get the incisive kink out of my shoulder.
Gabbie let out a heavy breath as she spoke. "Look, don't get me wrong, I totally love the girl... But I think it's weird how everyone is just totally going to blow past the fact that she's had Heath's dick in her mouth." I stopped packing, putting my hands on my hips until she corrected herself. "I'm not apologizing for that because it's true."
"I've had Zane's balls on my chin and that hasn't seemed to stop you." Gabbie's mouth open and closed like a fish, unable to conteract my comment. "Exactly. My point being is she is a cool girl... Maybe her and I have our differences, but she would be a bomb ass firend to have. Plsu, I've had so many fucking lawsuits in the last two years that my credit card can't take much more of this abuse. At least if Amber has my back, I won't go broke."
Gabbie giggled, throwing the rope across the living room and walking over to the kitchen island. I finished zipping up my bag as she changed the subject. "How's Heath and you?"
"My keys are getting left underneath the welcome mat for him to stay here with Charlie." I smiled, throwing my bag over my shoulder as Gabbie grabbed hers from the couch. "I trust him. He trusts me. Things are just... Different."
"So, how did he take it?" Gabbie raised an eyebrow. I stared at her, not processing what she meant. "The abortion?"
"Like a champ... Because I didn't say shit." Gabbie went to snap at me and I quickly stopped her. "In my defense, it hasn't been the right time! I mean... He asked me the other night if there was anything unneeded to tell him, but... I wasn't going to tell him over fucking raw fish."
"Sounds to me like you just don't want to tell him at all." Gabbie grabbed the front door, headed towards the car as she continued to speak. I lifted the mat before I walked to the car, leaving my keys as I had said I would underneath the welcome mat. "Look, alls' I'm sayings' is if he finds out-"
"He won't until I tell him." I rolled my eyes, throwing my bag into the backseat.
"If he does... You may lose him for the last time." Gabbie shook her head aimlessly, getting into the car.*****
"You had to strip to get into the sorority? I thought that shit was a myth!" Kristen said, laughing as she drank a sip of her sangria.
Amber laughed, leaning on her shoulder lightly as she spoke. Carly, Erin, Gabbie, Christine, Liza, Kristen, and I watched on in a crescent shape, each on the curved, black, leather couch with a drink in our hands. I sat in between Liza and Gabbie, sharing a throw blanket with Gabbie. "I wish I was kidding! Shit was like every stereotypical sorority movie!"
"I wish my life was The House Bunny. It was such an underrated movie." I shook my head aimlessly, finishing my glass of sangria.
Amber laughed, pointing happily at me. "Same! I also convinced myself the firs t two and a half semesters of pre-law that I was Elle Woods. I nearly bleached my hair and everything."
I smiled, getting off of the couch. I took note of everyone's glasses, taking Gabbie, Erin, and Kristen's from them. "I'll go refill!"
"I'll help!" Amber smiled, grabbing Christine, Carly, and Liza's and walking over to the kitchen. I began pouring while Amber sighed, slouching over the kitchen counter. She looked out into the living room, watching the girls laughing and conversing amongst themselves. "Hey, thanks for inviting me. I know with everything it's kind of odd, but-"
"Yeah, it's weird. But I think it's even weirder if we hate each other just for having similar taste in boys." I shrugged, laughing lightly. "Besides, the only one who should hate you is Kristen. You finally beat her out for the hottest boyfriend award."
"I wouldn't call Scott her boyfriend. I-" Amber stopped speaking as she saw the look upon my face. "Promise you won't say anything?
