I stood in the crowd in front of Elton who had let me go in front of him in order o see better. Scott was to his left with Heth to his right. Amber was currently dancing with Heath, though was saying her goodbyes to us as she wanted to get to the rest of the group. Heath began to plead with her when she cut him off. "I'm sorry. baby, but just like she is your wife... I gotta' go see my husbands."
"You're going alone?" OI raised an eyebrow, watching her go to quickly kiss Heath goodbye. She gave me a confused look as she broke away from him. "Let me at least walk you over or something. It's not fun getting lost out here."
Heath went to protest when Amber miled. "That's so sweet. Sure, let's go!"
I felt as the boys kept their eyes boring into my back, unable to understand what I was doing. I ignored them, lightly jogging with Amber to get to the stage for her on time. Once getting to the stage, we began to walk around to find everyone. I took out my cell phone to call Kristen when a water bottle was thrown across the crow,d, dumping onto my phone. I let out a yelp that was followed by a sharp pain in my right arm. I looked down, seeing my phone on the ground as the sounds of Amber screaming at a random drunk girl ran through my years. I quickly grabbed my phone, examining the destroyed front screen. Amber put a hand lightly on my shoulder. "I'm so fucking sorry, oh my god! That's terrible!"
"I should have a better case on it, it's chill." I sighed deeply, irritated as I attempted to turn it on. The screen stayed black and I felt a lump in my throat, remembering all the footage I had yet to save to my laptop from the past week. I looked up at Amber to see her looking as if she was going to cry for me. "It's fine, seriously. It's my own fault."
"I'm sorry, still. It's my fault." I frowned, angry at myself for still trying to find something about her to hate.
I sighed deeply. "No... I'm sorry." Amber looked taken back but I continued to speak, scared I would lose the courage if I didn't say anything right here and now. "I completely thought you were this... Stuck-up, arrogant, little rich bitch. Everyone defended you, especially Brennen. But I think I just... I hated myself too much to like anyone else. I'm sorry."
"It took a drunk blonde bitch to make you like me?" Amber laughed loudly. "God damn, why didn't you say so? But for real... No harm, no foul. I hated you at first, too."
"Why?" I raised an eyebrow, tilting my head. I saw Liza in the distance and began to walk towards her, Amber following me at my right side.
"You got a nice ass." Amber shrugged, causing me to laugh.
I said my goodbyes and began to run back to the main stage. I was luckily able to find everything thanks to Heath's cowboy hat standing out against the crowd. I walked up to them, getting behind Elton. I put my hand on his shoulder and he jumped slightly before seeing it was me. He moved to the side to allow me to go in front of him and I did so. I took my phone from my pocket, showing him and sighing. "Ask me how pissed I was."
Elton went bug eyed, taking off his sunglasses and attaching them to the collar of his shirt. "You're fucking kidding! I'm so sorry!"
I shrugged, putting it away. "I'm just so annoyed. I had so many Charlie pictures on there."
"You still don't save shit?" Scott looked over at me, crossing his arm over his chest.
"Leave me lone! I hate using icloud." I mumbled at Scott who laughed.

I had been dancing with both Elton and Scott the entire time, taking photos and snaps on the boys' phone the entire time. I knew, however, that the song that was coming up and I know Heath did, too. I had been glancing over at him, watching him doing the same to me throughout George Strait's set. As a finale, Check Yes or No was going to be played. I heard the first few notes and began to think of the last time I ever listened to the song with Heath.
It was the night he had proposed. We were laying in my bathtub talking about how we wanted a backyard-style, barn-themed wedding. I had promised him he was allowed to choose his tux as long as he promised me he wouldn't shave before the wedding. I had laid on his chest listening to his heartbeat, the jets in the jacuzzi tub hitting my back as it formed bubbles from my Lush bubble bar. The water was tinted a light pink as I had used a bath bomb, something Heath would never admit was his favorite thing on the planet. He was running a hand up and down my bare back, humming along to the song as it played on our spotify. I looked up at him, resting a hand on the side of his neck and running my hand through his beard.
"You really want to marry me?" I spoke softly, kissing his neck lightly.
I felt Heath look down at me before looking back up at the ceiling. I wrapped my leg tighter around him as he spoke. "I'm going to want to do more than just marry you." He laughed lightly, kissing the top of my head before continuing. "I'm going to love you and cherish you, and tell you every day how lucky I a that I get to wake up and say goodnight to you. And I'm going to start a family with you with as many Labs and German Shepherds as we can fit into our house, and then some more. And when you're sad, I'll be ad. When you're happy, I'll e happy. Because you're everything I could ever want and need and I'm not going to let you go without a fight."

After crying hysterically and singing drunkenly to Shania Twain, our group met up and took two Ubers home. I was the first to be dropped off in one, saying goodbye to everyone inside, minus Heath. I walked up my driveway and went straight to my front door. I was barely able to put my hand on the doorknob when Brennen opened the door panicking. I walked inside and he slammed the door behind him. His large, green eyes had tears in them as he raised his voice. Charlie came up to me, slowly, scared of the yelling. I picked him up in my arms and held him, petting him to calm his nerves. "What the hell, Katie! I called you a dozen times! What's wrong?"
I pulled my phone from my back pocket, showing him the destroyed screen. "What the hell has gotten into upu? I was with abut fifty thousand other people you could have called or texted, Bren."
"I couldn't... I tried to call Liza and that was it. I didn't want everyone to know your..." Brennen calmed down, shifting his weight on his feet. He looked back up at me, his eyes filled with tears that were moment from escaping. He rubbed his face, sighing heavily before speaking. And as the words fell out of his mouth, my hearing went fuzzy, unable to grasp onto the reality in front of me.
