     Katie's P.OV
I had worn a sleeveless black jumpsuit with my hair hitting my lower back in light curls. My platform, chunky heels were covered in leopard print that paired nicely with my red choker, matte red lips, and golden, smokey eyes. I was currently just getting to Liza's house as my Uber had just dropped me off. I was told to not bother knocking and just come into the front.
I walked passed the cars lining the street and driveway, reminding me of the Denney house. I walked into the front door, immediately being squeezed in a joint hug by Liza and Gabbie. Gabbie laughed as they stepped back, eyeing my shoes. "You bitch! You went in my closet?"
I shrugged. "Get a different size shoe and I won't steal your cute shit."
I heard my name being called and I jutted my head to the right, dismissing myself from the girls. Kam and Heath greeted me with smiles, Kam grabbing me by my wrist to come closer to him. He gave me a tight hug, kissing the side of my head. "Hey, Chiquita!"
Heath smiled at me as I left Kam's arms. I tried to brush it off that Heath didn't offer me a hug as I reminded myself of Amber. "Hey, Kate!"
"Thank you guys, seriously." I smiled at the pair of them. I looked over their shoulders and into the kitchen, seeing they had a buffet set out on a confetti lines table. There were pink, lilac, and mint balloons hanging from every part of the ceiling, as well as streamers hanging from every entryway. "Y'all really made it some Instagram-worthy bullshit."
"We also may or may not have had help for that one... Zane's recently shown an interest in interior design." Kam looked off, frowning as he saw Zane laughing with Andrea. I looked back before kam grabbed my attention again. "I swear to God, we made it clear to leave her at home. We didn't-"
"I don't mind. I'm serious, she doesn't matter. I'm lucky enough that you guys are here. Her sour pussy isn't going to make this ruined for me." I laughed, earning a sigh of relief from both boys as they looked at each other before looking back at me, laughing. "Did you make wings?"
Heath spoke through a fake laugh, shaking his head like I was insane. "Did we make wings? Did I make sure you had your precious Hawaiian teriyaki wings? What kind of person do you think I am."
"The best kind." I smiled, rubbing his shoulder lightly. He looked taken off guard, smiling sheepishly. "Come on, let's eat."

*****

We had gotten a belly full of food and a few drinks in our systems by the time we had all started dancing and snappchatting. We all had established a rule that the only part of the night we would vlog is the toast before cake.
The room filled with silence as the majority of us threw up our cameras to film Heath, Gabbie, and Zane on the top of Liza's kitchen island. We all held up our glasses of champagne, smiling as we waited for them to speak. I stood in the middle of the front of people, feeling an arm wrap around my shoulders proudly. I looked to see Elton smiling down at me, his cheeks slightly rosy from the amount of whisky in his system. I smiled back, looking up to see Zane beginning to speak.
"I'm not going to say I'm ecstatic about having to deal with your smart ass again... But I can't say I wouldn't miss it." Zane joked. "You've been the biggest pain in the ass from the moment you stepped into my life, but I wouldn't be the same without you."
"Suck a dick!" I called out.
Zane grabbed Heath's package and he swatted his hand away, laughing at him. Gabbie rolled her eyes to speak. "I don't know someone who is more anal about keeping her bathroom and kitchen in alphabetical order nor do I know someone else that only takes showers at three in the morning." I poured, trying not to smile. "I also don't know anyone who would stay up with me to let me vent nor someone who has ever been more like a sister to me than any of my own. I think I speak for the three of us," Gabbie looked over, gesturing towards Zane, Heath, and herself. "when I say we all went through a rough patch... Or several. But I'm so grateful that we are able to say the past is the past. I love you, girlie."
"I love you, more." I smiled, feeling my cheeks flush.
I felt the room almost hang off the edge of their seats, waiting for what Heath was about to say. I sensed that Elton knew I was worried as he gave my shoulder a few quick squeezes, smiling down at me, though my eyes were glued to Heath.
Heath cleared his throat, adjusting his black, long sleeved, Salty Crew shirt before speaking. "Katie... The first day I met you, you looked like a total bitch." Everyone began to laugh at Heath's bluntness. "You diagnosed what was wrong with Big Red in a matter of seconds and I remembering telling Gabbie to put you back to wherever you came from because I was shocked that some little stubborn skank knew about trucks."
I narrowed my eyes at him as he giggled, adjusting his cowboy hat quickly. "I also remember telling her that I thought you were the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on." My mouth opened slightly and I could feel my chest tighten. "For the last three years, I have never been so angry, or sad, or happy, or excited, or feel all of that shit all at once with someone. And I know we aren't where we thought we would be right now... But maybe it's for the best. You seem like the type that would kill me for insurance purposes."
"You're not wrong." I joked, smirking.
"I would be lying if I said I would have been able to make it this long without you in my life. You have always been the only person that has been able to calm me down, and for that, you're my rock. No matter whether we are together or single or at each other's throats, I will always love you. Thank you for being you." Heath raised his glass. "To having you home with your family."
"To our family." The group cheered as we clanked our glasses together. Heath and Zane jumped off the island. Zane grabbed Gabbie's waist, bringing her down from the island before clanking their glasses together.
I went up to Heath, tapping my glass to his as I felt tears threaten to leave my eyes. "You've always been able to surprise me, cowboy."
"You believed that? Pssh, I was just acting, sweetheart!" Heath tossed his hand to the side as we both took a sip from our glasses. He winked at me, speaking softly as he walked away. "I'm glad you liked my performance."
