I was finishing editing a vlog while Gabbie and Heath were downstairs filming a challenge together. Every so often I would peak over the balcony to snoop, curious about what was going on when they would erupt in laughter, though they kept screaming at me to look away when I would. I was currently petting Charlie's head, rewatching the vlog for the twelfth time in a row, when I received a text message from Zane. Opening it up, I read the message under my breath. "Where is Heath? I've been trying to call him. I need to talk to him." I frowned, not answering and deciding to call him myself. On the second ring, he picked up. "What's wrong?"
Zane sighed, speaking quickly in one exasperated breath. "I'm so sick of having to deal with Andrea's shit! All she does is nag and nag and nag and nag and-"
"Why are you still with her? Break up with her!" I laughed, cutting him off. "We all have told you since the beginning she's literally the worst person."
I rolled my eyes as Zane responded with what exactly I knew he would. "But I feel bad! I don't want to hear about how I was a piece of shit. I don't know, I really-"
I popped my head up when Charlie jumped up, smiling and wagging his tail at Heath. He was holding a blogging camera and had a towel in the style of a hijab wrapped around him, revealing only his eyes. "I gotta show you something, babe. You can't freak out."
I widened my eyes, speaking towards Zane. "Listen, Zane, wanna meet at Harold's? I'm in the mood for some of their fish tacos. We can all bitch together."
I could tell Zane was still stressed when he sighed. "Yeah, okay. Thanks. I'll meet you around 7?"
"Sounds good, bye." I quickly threw my phone to the side, pushing my laptop to the side as well. I stood up, hopping out of bed, and stepping towards Heath. Before I got any closer, I was hit with the smell of chemicals. Putting my hands out in front of me, I pointed at him for emphasis. "You smell like... No... You smell like hair dye. Why do you smell like fucking hair dye, Heath?"
Heath tried to stifle his giggling as he spoke. "Baby, don't be mad at me. Gabbie and I-"
I pushed passed Heath, charging down the stairs while I screamed. "Gabrielle! You fucking cunt! I told you you could do whatever challenge except-" As I got to the kitchen, I locked eyes with lime green hair dye spewed all over Gabbie's white, oversized and baggie tank top along with the empty jar, bowl, and brush all stained with the same color. I felt tears begin to welt up in my eyes as I covered my mouth while I spoke. "You didn't. Tell me you didn't."
Heath shoved the camera in my face, laughing, as he stood in front of me. "Are you actually crying? Baby, what's the big deal?"
I shook my head, rubbing my irritated eyes. "You're going to look like a bad 90's cartoon."
"I'm washing it out right now." Heath laughed, rolling his eyes. He walked over to the sink and I turned my head to the living room. "You're not even going to watch?"
"I honestly want to punch both of your throats right now." I spoke in a monotone voice, trying to remain level headed. "Gabbie, seriously, what the fuck? You couldn't stop him?"
Gabbie laughed as I heard the sink turn on. "Stop it! It's not my fault your boyfriend decided to be Cosmo! Besides... He doesn't look that bad." I gave a disgusted scoff to her. Before I was about to yell again, she cut me off. "Look for yourself."
I turned around, letting out a breath I was unknowingly holding in. Heath had taken off the towel to reveal his hair and beard being a few shades darker of brown, nearly black, than it naturally is. The color only brought out his eyes more and, thankfully, wasn't making him a cartoon. I laughed, seeing Heath get closer to me with the camera, laughing. "You really thought we pulled that? I ain't Zane, baby. What do you think of it?"
"I like it. Your eyes look purty'." I tapped his nose lightly with my finger. "What do you mean about Zane though?" I stopped laughing, furrowing my brows.
Heath and Gabbie looked between each other before Gabbie ran a hand through her hair. "Holy shit, you're serious? You didn't see what he did?" I shook my head no, earning a hard laugh from her. "You're gonna shit yourself when you see him tonight."
