Katie's P.O.V
I grabbed a few beers from my refrigerator, closing it with my right leg. I smiled, seeing Gabbie guiding Brennen and Kam to the back room that was now hers. "Let's go, boys. Mama needs her bed set up tonight!"
I rolled my eyes at her, walking into her room. Brennen placed the bed on the black box spring, beginning to throw her bed sheet on. The pink fabric flew in the air effortlessly while he spoke. "I thought Zane was supposed to come over to help?"
I went over to Brennen, helping him fix the bed as I set the beers down on Gabbie's nightstand. Kam answered Brenen in a groan, opening up one of the beers for Gabbie and handing it to her before grabbing nand opening his own. "Stupid dick decided that moving five pieces of furniture was too much work."
"I don't care." Gabbie shrugged, trying to release Kam's tension. "I got the best looking boys in the group moving furniture for me shirtless. I don't need Zane's hair stomach anywhere near me."
Kam laughed, pretending to flip his hair. Brennen and I finished up the bed and I opened up his beer, handing it to him. I opened mine up next, taking a swig of it while I admired his torso for a moment out of the corner of my eye. "Hey, Kam? How's Meghan?"
Kam rubbed the back of his neck while he took a sip of beer, shaking his head. He laughed nervously while he spoke. "Ugh, she, ugh... She went back with Joey."
"Excuse me?" I yelped. Brennen wrapped his arm around my shoulders, his thumb rubbing my skin underneath my cropped, plain, black, t-shirt. "Since when?"
"Last month." Brennen grumbled next to me. I shot him look and he took his beer bottle away from his mouth before drinking at the end of his sentence. "Look, I still follow her on snapchat, it's not my fault."
"I'm sorry." I shook my head, being interrupted by Kam shaking his hand.
"Don't be sorry! It's been great for me." Kam smiled proudly. "I've been able to work my way up in the restaurant and I'm starting to do Uber. I don't need someone who's going to be pissed that I'm trying to better myself."
Charlie came bumbling into the bedroom, running straight up to Kam. He barked, spinning in a circle until Kam picked him up. I laughed, rolling my eyes. "She's in love."
"He looks like Dexter." Kam laughed, ruffling Charlie's head of fur as he panted happily. "He's Elton's new dog. Have you met him yet?"
I shook my head. "Nah, I have only seen pictures on Insta of him."
I looked at Gabbie who was giggling to herself. "Let's invite him and Dex over. I miss his lisp."
"Actually, Zane and I were having everyone over." Kam smriekd. "You guys want to come?"
"Ugh, you son of a bitch!" Gabbie groaned, going towards her suitcase. "Now I have to find my cute shit!"
