I twirled a lock of hair in between my fingers nervously, watching Gabbie from across the room on her phone. Brennen came up behind me, putting a had on the small of my back and kissing my shoulder. He swhisperspoke low in my ear, not wanting everyone around us to hear him. "Stop being nervous, baby. We have been here for an hour and you haven't moved once."
I took a deep breath, shaking my head. "Not while she is on snap or anything. I don't want to make her feel cornered because she will actually bash my skull in."
Brennen kissed my cheek, causing me to turn towards him. He handed me a beer he had in his hand waiting for me and I smiled, kissing him. I went to walk away until he pulled me back, cupping my cheeks to kiss me again. I felt him smile against my mouth and another guilt trip rushed throughout my body. I don't deserve him.
My feet dragged against the wood of the apartment as I made my way through the loud crowd and towards Gabbie. I was about to sit next to her on the couch when I saw her sitting next to Ricegum. My stomach turned, seeing Bryan having a smug look on his face as Gabbie began to take some sort of video with him. I could tell that he was having a attitude, though doing it in a joking manner. I went to turn around, not wanting to interrupt when I heard Gabbie yelp.
I turned back around, seeing Bryan grab onto Gabbie's wrist and attempt to fight her. Gabbie was face first into the couch, Bryan on top of her twisting her arm. I instinctively lunge forwards, pushing him off of her. Gabbie immediately grabbed her phone that had fallen on the floor and went to the balcony. I snapped on Bryan, Brennan running up next to me. "What the fuck is your problem?"
Bryan pushed my shoulders, causing me to stumble backwards, while screaming in my face. "That dumb bitch was trying to put me on blast so I put her in her place! you want me to try it with you."
"Try it." Brennen stood in between us, immediately making Bryan shut his mouth.
Brennen tapped me, not taking his eyes off of Bryan, signaling me to go and find Gabbie. I hesitated for a moment before bolting towards the porch, pushing past a few groups of people. I got to the door, looking through the glass window to see a lonesome gabbie crying on what looked like snapchat. I waited for her to put her phone down to come outside. The cool air smacked me in the face right before Gabbie turned around to look me up and down. She shook her head, wiping her tears away as she put her arms crossed over her chest. "What do you want?"
"What just happened? I looked away for a second." I shook my head in disbelief.
"Nothing." She shook her head rapidly, walking past me and bumping my shoulder. I grabbed her shoulder to turn her around as she touched the door handle, but she swatted my hand away. "I would have rathered him beat me unconscious then to have to deal with seeing your face this close to me again."
I stood in a state of shock, not realizing full what she had just said. Gabbie opened the door the glass hitting my arm with a hard thud, shocking me back to reality. I watched her walk through the crowd of people and out the front door, slamming it behind her.
