New YouTub...
I ripped into the hotel room a thousand miles an hour holding several shopping bags. Gabbie was sat on the futon near the balcony window, watching television, when her head perked up and shot towards me. I stared at her like a deer in the headlights, feeling sweat beat down the sides of my forehead when my chest tightened. I had yet to tell her about Heath and I tonight, deciding that if something were to go wrong at least we could have kept it to ourselves. Gabbie raised an eyebrow, standing up and crossing her arms over her chest. "Where the hell are you going that your ass needed to buy this many outfits?" I began to stutter, speaking through a clenched jaw. "I may have to go out somewhere." "I didn't know that." Gabbie smiled tight lipped. "So... You aren't going out with Heath?" I kept my mouth shut, giving her a nervous, toothy grin. "Zane read over Heath's shoulders at your texts. Why didn't you say anything?" "I didn't want to jinx anything." I shrugged, sighing. "I knew damn well I would." "I get it." Gabbie sighed, smiling lightly. "but I'm excited for you, but... What did you even buy? Isn't this just a one night thing or are you going on a vacation?" I laughed at Gabbie, placing the bags down on the bed as I opened them, throwing together the outfits I envisioned as I spoke. "I didn't know what to wear! We are just getting sushi, but... I wanted to make an impression. I only got three to choose from, but I-" "That one." Gabbie smiled, pointing to the outfit that was dead in the center. It was a red, gingham patterned crop top with ruffled sleeves that hung off the shoulders, two thinner straps on the shoulder blade along with a pair of light washed, heavily destroyed boyfriend jeans that cuffed at the ankle and a fresh pair of allover white Vans. "Make your hair wavy and just throw on simple ass makeup. He'll remember why ya'll loved each other from the beginning." "Thanks, Gabs." I smiled as I motioned for her to grab my things from my suitcase as I threw off my white crop top, tank top and black, denim, high-waisted shorts. She rolled her eyes, handing me my makeup bag and hair gel. I looked at the top on the bed and down to my strapless, black bra that was wrapped around my chest. "Free the nipple or strapless bra?" "This humidity is too goddamn much, free them puppies, girl." Gabbie waved her hand, walking off to the couch to pick up her phone. She giggled lightly, shaking her head. "Damn... Have you seen Amber's new boy?" "William fucking Levy is legitimately everything I could ever want in a man." I let out a deep sigh, slipping off my bra and throwing on my date-night attire. "The golden eyes, the messy hair, the perfect grin, the twelve pack, almost six foot five, his dimples-" "The M.D at the end of his name, speaks five languages, his wallet, former baseball superstar." I shook my head, crossing my legs Indian style on the bed and beginning to do my makeup, holding the mirror in between my legs. "He is literally the best fucking upgrade she could have ever done." "She says as she puts her makeup on to go on a date with her ex." Gabbie joked, earning a tube of mascara to the side of the head. She chucked it back at me, laughing, as I lightly contoured my face. "For real though... Do you think this is going to go well?" "I think so." I furrowed my brow, looking up at her for a moment. I fiddled with the beauty blender in my hands as I spoke. "I mean... I really, truly think that e are in a different place than we were the first round. It's different now, I can't explain it. But I think... I think this is it."

"He really tried to tell me that he was six foot the entire relationship." I rolled my eyes, drinking my third mai tai as Heath laughed. "I don't know how the hell he really expected me to believe it." I felt Heath's leg brush against mine underneath the table as he spoke, a shot of heat getting sent up my spine. "It's fine. Amber tried to tell me our entire relationship that I didn't need to go to the gym because I was fine the way I was and now she's with fucking Adonis." "The dick sizing is spot on." I said, sipping my drink, as I made a pinching motion with my left pointer and thumb fingers. Heath rolled his eyes, putting his tongue into the side of his cheek. "You think you're real fucking cute, huh?" I twirled a strand of hair between my fingers as I batted my eyelashes, setting down my drink. Heath shook his head, running a hand through his softly gelled hair. "Hey, um... I really did want to talk to you about something." "What's up?" I raised an eyebrow, dunking a piece of white tuna sashimi in a bit of soy sauce with my chopsticks before eating it. "I just wanted to get everything out in the open so we can start fresh, you know?" I raised an eyebrow, unsure of what he meant. "I'll go first... For example, I never told you that one time I got angry at you and spit in your iced-t when you were over getting your things from my place." I stared at Heath blankly, a piece of sushi slipping out of my chopsticks in a state of shock. I placed them down on the table, grinding my teeth as I spoke. "I got sick that weekend, you fucking dumbass." Heath shrugged, holding his arms up, as he tried to hold back a giggle. "Okay, fine. I stole your stash of phone chargers because I didn't want to buy new ones." "I put tacks underneath your tires when I knew you had that meeting at YouTube." Heath grinned proudly. "I fucked Elton." Heath's eyes bugged out of his head when I crossed my arms over my chest. "Beat that, bitch." "If I could fuck anyone, it would be Elton." Heath sighed, shaking his head. "I knew you guys were too close." "You're not mad. Why aren't you mad?" I raised an eyebrow before the thought clicked in my head. "You knew! How the hell did you already know? Did Elton-" "I didn't need to get told, I figured it out on my own. I asked Elton if it was true and when he wouldn't tell me a straight answer, I knew." Heath shrugged. "I might have made out with Meghan." "Wow... Kam know or?" Heath shook his head, no. "Your secret is safe with me. And I guess we are even." "Is there anything else on your end? That was all for me." Heath laughed nervously, hoping I was done. I felt the reminder of the abortion creep into the back of my mind, my stomach instantly feeling queasy. I knew I should tell him, believe me I did, but I couldn't find the words to say that would make him understand even a fourth of the feelings that plagued me everyday for my choice. Heath took a sip of his beer, beginning to look uneasy as I tried to wrack my brain with an excuse as to why it was taking me so long to come up with something. I took his left hand in mine, running my thumb along the side of it. I spoke in a soft tone, hoping that would ease his and my's nerves. "There's nothing else. We're totally open books, now." Heath released my hand, doing the gesture of opening a book in sign language. I giggled, doing it back to him, before earning a relieved grin from him. "I'm so happy. Thank you for being honest."
