CLARY POV
Jace and I have been married for over a month, Maia had just broken up with Bat and needed a place to stay. I wake up and see my bed empty, I look at the clock. 12:46. I sit up in the bed. "She won't hear anything! Come on!" I hear Jace's voice from the guest room. I jumped out of bed into the wooden floor. I run to the guest room and open the door ready to kill them. How could they? Maia is my best friend! Jace and I got married a month ago! I look up and see Jace and Maia sitting on the bed like 10 year olds with a chess board in between them.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"We're playing chess" Jace grins. "And someone just lost" he says as he looks at Maia. Maia rolls her eyes. "She's awake now" he says.Maia re positions herself to be on her knees. She tucks in her arms like a chicken and sighs.
"I hate your husband" She says. "COCK-A-DOODLE-DO!" She shrieks, her voice cracking at the end like a rooster. I break out laughing at both of them.
