CLARY POV
      I was sketching in my notebook. A throat clears and I look up to see Jace Herondale. "H-hi" I say, I've had a crush on him for years.
"Would you like to go on a date?" He asks.
"Yes" i say.
"Ok...meet me at Green Joe..ok? 8:30?"He asks. I smile.   
        "Ok.." I say.

       I asked Izzy for help (which I never do) I looked pretty...maybe even beautiful I smiled at my reflection. I even put on make up so I looked pretty. I walk into Green Joe and sit down. Jace wasn't here. But I was here early. So I waited.

      It's 8:55, and Jace still isn't here I just played flappy bird on my phone as I waited.

      It's 9:30, he still isn't here. And flappy bird got boring. I ordered five waters and drank all of them. I play with the straw paper, writing out Jace's name with it.

      It's 10:20, still no Jace. Maybe something big came up and he forgot to tell me, the waitress gave me a strawberry cake of pity on the house. I sigh as i eat the last pieces.

       It's 10:30, the restaurant closes at 11:00. I sigh as I look at the empty plate. The bell on the door rings. I look up and see Jace. My face lights up. Until I see his football teammates with him. I blink in confusion. "I told you she'd still be waiting!" Jonathan says. I blush in embarrassment as I start to sweat.
       "Aw look, she tried to dress up" Sebastian says. Tears Pool my eyes. 
         "She's not really good at it is she?" Jake says the football team starts to laugh.
           "Aww, look, she's gonna cry!" Jonathan says. Finally tears fall. I grab my purse and stalk past them and get out the door. I bite my lip as I get away. He played with me like a doll, until he broke something, then threw me away. I sob as I keep walking away from the laughs at the restaurant of my foolishness.
