JACE POV
    There i was, shirtless, abfull me, at the pool getting a tan. I was in a black swimsuit  and had sunglasses, my eyes closed as I thought about stupid things. I am the only one in the pool. Then I hear the door open and close. "Yay!" I hear a little girl says as she jumps into the water. She had curly brown hair. But what really catches my eye was the redhead who sat down and watched her. The red head had curly hair and a green sweater with jeans. She looked beautiful. "Clary! Clary!" The brunette girl said. "Please come into the pool! Play water tag with me!" The brunette girl said.
      "Jayden, I can't," Clary says.
"Pleaseeeeee!" Jayden begs. The red head shakes her head.
"I'm sorry Jayden,"
"PLEASEEEE! I'll tell daddy to give you fifty dollars per hour instead of ten, he'll say yes, he's rich remember!" Clary's eyes widen.
"Ok, how about I get in if you stop yelling that your dad is rich, deal?"
"DEAL!" Jayden says. The red head sighs and takes off her shoes. Then her pants, and at last her sweater. My eyes widen beneath my sunglasses as i see her in her bikini, she had pale skin and a black bikini. Clary then slowly got into the pool. She looked so hot as she did. Jayden giggled and touched Clary's shoulder. "Tag!" She says and then swims away. Clary grins and swims towards Jayden, she grabs Jayden from behind and grabs her
     "Gotcha!" Clary says, Jayden giggles as she swims up, splashing water at me. "Oh, I'm so sorry," Clary says blushing. She looked so cute when she blushed, Jayden swam back to the shallow end of the pool.  I grin lazily and lift my glasses up,
       "It's ok, Clary," Clary looks at me in confusion, i just noticed that I said her name. God! That's so creepy! A stranger you've never met calls you by your name?! "I, un, herd Jayden say your name.." I explain. She must think I'm such a stalker! Clary smiles kindly. She was about to lift herself up, off the pool, but thinks better of it. She then quickly swims to the ladder and walks towards me. She sits down next to me.
"What's your name?" Clary asks.
"Jace...my name is Jace..."
"Ok, well, you know my name...I'm Jayden's baby sitter, so you might see me here more often," Clary says. She gets up and grabs her towel. "Jayden, I told you we could go for a quick dip, your father is probably on his way home now," Clary says.
       "Awwwwww!"Jayden says as she gets out of the pool.
       "I'll see you around Jace," Clary says. I nod as I see Clary and Jayden walk away.

     I was at the park, reading when I hear familiar giggles. I look up and see Clary hugging Jayden. I smile at the two of them. Jayden then runs to the play structure.
Clary see's me and walks over to me. She sits down and looks at me. "What you reading?" Clary asks.
      "Tale Of two cities," i say. Clary smiles
      "That's nice...Jayden's having a birthday party...her parents aloud me to bring someone....you wanna be my plus one?" She asks.
         "Sure," i say. Clary and I keep talking. She tells me how she loves to paint, and draw, and sketch. And I tell her that I love the piano. I also learn that she hates eggs, she loves strawberries and mangoes, I tell her my weird love of tomato soup and mangoes. And my fear of ducks, which makes her laugh for a good five minutes. I can safely say that by the end of that day, Clary and I were friends. At the party we talked even more. I had started to notice more and more that clary was a beautiful person, inside and out. I liked that about her, a lot. I smile at Clary as she keeps talking about art, I really liked this girl.

It's been about a month since Jayden's party. Clary and I kept in touch, we exchanged phone numbers and everything. I had a nagging feeling though. What if Clary had a boyfriend? What if this was only friendly for her. The questions had been eating me alive for too long, so I grabbed my phone.

Me: Hey...i wanted to ask you something,

Clary: ok, what is it?
  
Me: do you have a boyfriend?
