CLARY POV
Hey, it's Jace, I can't get to you right now, I'll call you back when I can...
      I've called Jace 20 tines. He still isn't here. Vic had a sleep over, and the boys stayed home with a babysitter while I bring Clara to the daddy daughter dance. Jace said he would meet me here in five minutes... but five minutes turned into three damm hours! I sigh as I look at the heart broken girl.  "Baby, Listen, Daddy couldn't make it, but-,"
       "That's what you said last year...and the year before that...he's not coming!" Clara says angrily. I my heart broke for the little girl. I looked around and saw all the little girls dancing with their fathers. I am going to murder Jace.
       "Why Don't I dance with you?" I ask.
      "But you're not a dad...you're a mom," Clara says. I shrug.
       "Rules are made to be broken....besides. You can be the princess and I can be the prince," I say. Clara and I used to play dress up with Vic when I got off work. It seemed childish, but they like it...and if I'm being completely honest, so do I. I grab Clara's hand and drag her to the dance floor. I spin her around. She smiles sadly.
      "Momma....can we just go home?" Clara asks.
      "Fine, but Go get a cupcake first...yeah?" I ask. She nods and goes to get a cupcake. She comes back and starts sulking while eating small pieces of cupcake. "Hey Pumpkin, Daddy wanted to be here, it's just-,"I look towards the door and see the person who caused my precious little girl to be sad. I stomped up to him. "Oh hey! Look! It's the guy who stranded his daughter at school!" I say.
      "Ok, Clary listen."
      "No! I'm not going to listen to you!" I say annoyed. "You know what! Your daughter has been sitting there for three hours heart broken! So will you just go dance with her. Jace sighs and goes up to her. I roll my eyes.

Clara went to sleep and I was left alone with Jace. I pushed him outside. "Why weren't you there?!" I snap.
    "I'm sorry! I got caught up with work and my phone died and I just-." I put my hand on his mouth.
      "Well then, if you get so caught up with work, then you can sleep in your office!" I say angrily and shut the door in his face and lock it. 

JACE POV
     I sigh as I wait a couple minutes. I open the door with my key to the house. I go upstairs to Clary's and my room. I open the door quietly to find a shape under the blankets. I kick off my shoes and put on my Pajamas. I slide into bed with her. "I promise I'll make it up to Clara" i whisper. She flips around to face me.
     "No, Jace that's not good enough anymore...you have to put your family first..." Clary says. "Jace it was heartbreaking to see her there....waiting for a dad who never came!" Clary says.
      "Ok...clary, I promise I will put my family first." Clary sighs and nods in agreement. She then curls up next to me. Long story short, I kept my promise.
