Chapter 66

      Raph picked up Kiru on his arms as she still slept but he also then noted the bruise on her body making him mad. Leo would be in the office calling the orphanages since that was where they knew her new family would be. Raph sat in the bed looking at her as he saw her eyes move a little.
     Raph would brush her hair back as he then placed her on the bed getting the blanket over her as he watched her sleep for a second then got up to get some clothes on. He went over and grabbed some pants getting them on and then a shirt while he would look back to her walking over. " what were you doing out there alone Kiru..."
    Then Leo came in and saw Raph looking at her worried as he went over and placed a hand on Raph's arm. " I found her orphanage and is coming over to get her."
    " Why was she out there? Did they know she was out there alone?" Raph asked as Leo looked to her. " They said she got brought back and Kiru ran away... I don't think they know she is a shifter..."
     Raph looked in disbelief at someone adopting a kid to just take the kid back. " that's messed up!"
    " Shh... " Leo said getting a hand on Raph's mouth. " She is resting let her okay..."
      Raph grunted and grabbed Leo's hand from his mouth and walked out of the room as Leo looked to Kiru. Leo sat there at the edge of the bed and Raph on the couch as he sat there trying to calm down and not snap at the person coming to get Kiru.

    Kiru was walking up while Leo had taken her to the kitchen to eat as she felt nervous at being to their place while Raph was by her as if keeping guard while she was eating cereal. " So how long have you known you where a shifter?"
    She looked at Leo and swallowed the food in her mouth as she said nervously. " a few days ago..."
    " Why did your parent take you back to the orphanage?" Raph said out making Leo say mad. " Raph!"
    She looked down then back at the two. " Because they didn't want a shifter... I didn't know I was one and I fist shifted at school... I shift to my fox forum when I'm scared..."
    Leo came and kneeled down to look at her with a kind smile. " You are safe here. The people in the orphaned is come to get you today -"
   " No! Please, I don't want to go back to them! If I go back that will be the fifth family that had returned me..." Kiru's green eyes started to get shiny as tears started to fall.
    Leo looked sad trying to comfort Kiru as Raph was by the door frame of the kitchen watching the two while his hands were gripping his own arms harder getting more mad at hearing that.
     Then the door was being knocked as Kiru got scared jumping off the chair and ran to Raph as she grabbed his leg. " Please don't let them take me!"
    Raph looks to her as Leo came and got her to let his lag so while she then got her arms around Leo's neck crying. Raph watched when the door got knocked again as Raph went over and said before opening it. " take her in the living room."
    Leo looked to her than him and nods walking in as Raph opened the door seeing a woman there as she looked at him. " This is the Hamato house right?"
    " Yes... Come in... " Raph said getting his hand to a gesturing way to follow him as she came in and they went to the office as Raph closed the door. " is it true that this would be the fifth family that sent her back to you guys?"
   She nods when then Raph went over and in Leo's seat as he sat down letting her know she could sit in the seat to the front of the desk. " What happened to her real parents?"
    She signed and said to Raph as if she has said it thousands of times. " Her dad died in the war his body never found and her mother passed away giving birth to her. "
     Raph felt sorry for the kid as he said getting up. " How many times has she really been sent back?"
     " About 30... We know if she finds out that it would devastate her so we kept her to believe that she only got adopted 5 times. " Raph stood there trying to not snap while he looked to her. " If I see her out there like I did I will call the cops to see what is really going on in the orphanages! It's not like you can lose a kid there that easily!"
     Raph then slammed his hard fist into the desk as the door opened with only Leo there. " What Leo?"
    He came in closing the door and went over to Raph as he said to the woman. " Give us a quick moment. "
  They got slightly to the wall and spoke low. " Raph we should have her be with one of our family members... They will raise her right... Like, father..."
     " What?" Raph said shocked at hearing Leo as then he thought of something while remembering the memory of Kiru when he first met her and when Leo did as well. " I know who..."
    Raph then looked to the woman and walked over to her as Leo asked confused. " who?"
     Raph then stopped at the desk as he knew the Leo wanted a kid and Kiru wanted parents that she could rely on and so he said to the woman as he felt this was crazy but it would make things better for the two and Kiru. " We will adopt her."
