Chapter 67

    The woman looked surprised as she said. " You would have to fill out papers for the adoption and I didn't bring any..."
     Leo came to Raph as he said with wide eyes. " Raph what are you doing? I thought you said it was too soon to adopt..."
     Raph looked at Leo and said with a light blush.  " Who else is better Leo... You want a kid and I want Kiru to be in a safe home..."
     Leo looked to Raph and smiled big as he kissed Raph's cheek while Leo then said. " I will go with you to the orphanage to sign the papers."
    She looked at the two and said standing up sounding concerned. " Of course... But I do need to warn you a child with two same-gender parents could cause a confusion to the kid later on..."
    Raph was about to yell but Leo got a hand to Raph's mouth as Leo smiled calmly. " We are aware of that... And I'm sure we all three will be fine. "
     She nods and Leo lets Raph mouth go to look to him telling him seriously. " Stay here with Kiru while I'm gone... Try not to make a mess. "
    Then Leo started to follow the lady out of the as Raph came out while he saw Kiru watching the movie Labyrinth making himself go over and sit by her as she looked up to him fast looking nervous. " I'm I going back?"
    Raph let out a small breath as he picked her up and placed her gently in his lap. " No, you are staying here... With us."
    She looked up to him fast as she said as if smiling. "You're going to be my new daddy!"
     Raph looked away fast with a hard blush while he said. " You can call me dad... But just no daddy words..."
     She got up and hugs Raph as he blushed even more not knowing what to do as her arms were around his neck. He hesitated but then slowly got his hands to her back as he then hugged her back putting on a little smile. ' this might not have been a bad choice...'

    Leo came home a few hours later as he went in closing the door while he went over to the living room seeing the two as Leo could not help and smiled big with a light blush. Raph was sleeping on his side as Kiru was also sleeping while her head was laying on Raph's arm as his other arm was over her.
     Leo came over to a closet as he grabbed a blanket walking back over to the two sleepers getting the blanket on them. But once Raph felt smithing land on him he pulled his arm over Kiru a little more together keeping her close like protecting her. 
    Leo went to the office then to place the adoption papers over to where Leo had their marriage certificate as he then closed the drawers getting out of the office and to the kitchen to start making dinner for the three.

      The next two days the whole family knew about them adopting Kiru as there was a celebration at Splinters today while Leo was driving them there. Raph was in the passenger seat as Kiru was napping in the back seat behind Raph.
     Raph would turn around to see her every few minutes as Leo would chuckle at him. " She is fine Raph."
      They were getting close as Raph looked at Leo grabbing his arm lightly while Leo let's one hand go of the wheel and held Raph's hand as they held them tightly together. When they were there Leo parked the car and Raph got out got to the back seat as he unbuckled Kiru's seatbelt and held her in his arms while she still slept.
    Her head was laying on his neck breathing normally while her arms were to her sides as Leo came over with her bag that Leo bought her yesterday. They walked to the door and Leo went first opening the front door as there was chatting so Leo said. " We're here."
     Mikey came into view first and fast as he saw sleeping Kiru making his aw face walking over while Raph held her close to him as she moaned in her sleep but moved her face closer to Raph's neck. " She is so cute!"
    Donnie and Splinter then came as Donnie looked at the girl and smiled seeing how Raph was looking like a very overprotective dad. Splinter then came over as Mikey moved as Raph looked to him. " Come we will pace her in Leonardo's old room. Your arms will be tired of holding her all day. "
    So Leo handed Raph her bag in watch had some toys, books, Coloring book, and crayons as well as extra clothing since she has on a blue dress with while dotes but was also wearing black shorts with flippers. They started to Leo's room and Splinter went over getting the bed opened up as Raph placed her there in the bed as Splinter tucked her in.
     Raph placed the bag by the bed and looked a little around seeing Leo's kid room smirking as Raph then want to her brushing her hair back then went to the door as Splinter watched as Raph had the door half opened. " How are you and Leonardo taking on being parents know?"
    Raph walked back to the others as he said to Splinter. " it's actually not that bad she is very well behaved and she has a lot of energy so I might have to have Mikey be the babysitter and that way we can get Donnie a break. "
     Splinter laughed low as then Leo saw them when everyone was in the kitchen. Leo came over and kissed Raph's cheek as he said. " She staying asleep?"
     " Yeah like a rock as always. " then Raph got a beer from Leo as he drank it faster than he normally does. He didn't want to drink around Kiru so every time she would take a nap or go to sleep he would have a beer or two.
    They all chatted and talking about when they were kids as Leo would hold his hand to Raph's tightly.
