CHAPTER 33 - THE RETURN

"MASTER, sinabi ko sa'yo na aattend si Jade ng birthday party ni Ethan Brelsford pero hindi ko sinabi sa'yo na pumunta ka dito mula South Africa. Alam mo na delikado ang ginawa mo," nakangiti na sabi ni Addie nang makita niya ko sa bahay namin.

Kahit hindi niya sabihin, bakas sa mukha niya ang saya nang bumalik ako dito sa Fordbridge.

"Oh come on, Addie. You are practically begging for me to be here. I know you miss me!"

"Of course, I miss you! Kahit kausap kita palagi sa phone, iba pa rin kapag nakita kita sa personal. It is really good to see you. You look great with your long hair. And did you tone up those muscles?"

"Part of the plan, remember? Hindi na ako isang high school student ngayon."

"Teka, nakita ka ba ni Jade? Nalaman ba niya na bumalik ka? Oh shit, nakita ka niya noh? Umamin ka! You're such a mess!"

"She saw me, but she still thinks I am a figment of her imagination. Sabihin mo sa kanya na hindi ako umaalis ng Cape Town."

"Master, masyado ka ata naging padalos dalos. Alam mo na gusto ko na nandito ka, pero nilalagay mo din si Jade sa alanganin dahil bumalik ka."

"Alam ko and I am very sorry. Hindi ako naging maingat at masyadong nangibabaw ang emosyon ko. Jade seems to ransack the hatred hiding in the deepest part of me when she agreed to have a date with that monstrosity," I said while gritting my teeth.

"Magkaibigan lang si Jade at si Ethan. He is harmless and he is a good man for her," pang-aasar ni Addie sa akin.

"Ethan Brelsford is far from being harmless, my dear sister. He is a savage beast equipped with his good looks and money! Pwedeng mahulog sa kanya si Jade!"

Hindi ko na maiwasan ang pagtaas ng boses ko. Just the thought of Jade being with that rich playboy made every cell in body inflamed like a Krakatoan eruption.

"Siguro nga ay playboy si Ethan Brelsford pero maganda ang hangarin niya kay Jade. I can see in him na mahal niya si Jade. Sigurado ako na aalagaan niya si Jade. I bet, he will never break her heart, not even once," she answered me with a sly smile.

"Addie, don't defend that predator! Jade has no idea that she is a prey and he is just waiting for the right time to chow her down."

"Nababaliw ka na, Raphael Lancaster. You should not let your jealousy dominate you. It is crystal clear that you have strong affections for her and don't you dare deny it to me, stubborn Vessel!"

Natigil lang ang usapan namin ni Addie nang makarinig kami ng galit na boses na umecho sa buong kabahayan.

"We have an agreement, Raphael."

Eleazar appeared out of nowhere and he is now filling the front door. The man looks tired, but most of all, angry.

"You should steer clear of Jade for the time being. You are making spur of the moment decisions without consulting me!" sigaw niya sa akin.

"Papayag ka kung sabihin ko sa'yo na may plano ko bumalik dito? I doubt it, dad. You will probably chain me up in a dungeon somewhere before you allow me to go back here!" sigaw ko din sa kanya.

Eleazar's face is unreadable, pero alam ko sa mga oras na ito na kumukulo na ang dugo niya sa akin. Hindi ko naman siya masisi dahil kasalanan ko naman ito.

May agreement kami ni Eleazar na hindi ko gagambalain si Jade kahit ano man ang mangyari.
