CHAPTER 100 - INDIA

Nagpasya kaming bumalik muli sa Fordbridge. Gusto ko man gumawa ng paraan para tulungan si Amadeus, pero sumang-ayon si Eleazar sa kanyang plano. Kung may access man ang Endorian Witches sa Karan ng mga Shadow Spirits na sina Alvienna, Ahaziah at Alarcus, may pag-asa pa rin daw na matalo namin ang mga ito. Pero kung ginagamit ng mga Endorian Witches ang kasamaan sa mundo para maging Karan, hindi daw namin kakayanin ito.

"There was a prophecy, an old writing during the time of Ahaziah, that hell will ascend here on earth," sabi ni Eleazar habang hinihintay namin ang chopper na maghahatid sa amin sa town proper.

"Nabasa ko na din ang tungkol diyan. There is no such thing as purgatory or hell. Ang mga tao ang gagawa ng kanilang impyerno. In our case right now, the Endorian Witches will create a hell here on earth," dagdag ni Addie.

"Just curious, how many Endorian Witches are there? Wala tayong kilala na Endorian Witches kundi si Asharah, ang ex jowa ni Ishmael," tanong ko sa kanila.

"As far as I know, the number of Endorian Witches are always fixed. Twelve Endorian Witches. There are currently twelve storm anomalies all over the world. I guess my research is correct," sagot ni Eleazar.

Binuksan ni Eleazar ang kanyang smartphone at ipinakita ang charcoal drawing ng isang babae pero may takip ang kanyang mukha. Tulad ni Asharah, may kakaiba itong glowing beads sa leeg.

"This is Eleonore. She is believed to be the first Endorian Witch and the most powerful one. She is capable of necromancy and even raising people from the dead. It is also believed that she was alive since the time of King David and King Saul. I think the Prime Guardian is preparing himself for his encounter with Eleonore."

"Asharah or Sapphire is probably a new recruit. Eleonore took advantage of her connection and her hate with the first Vessel. The twelve Endorian Witches may be immortals right now because of their Karan powers, but the Prime Guardian can easily kill them except for Leonore," pagpapatuloy ni Eleazar.

"Super powerful po ba si Eleonore?" dagdag na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Ahaziah mentioned once that there was a powerful guardian who did not join the rebellion, but she stayed here on earth for good. If Amadeus will use his full scale Karan powers to defeat the Endorian Witches, I can only presume that this guardian is none other than Eleonore."

"Old Man, aasa na lang ba tayo kay Amadeus? He is a freaking Shadow Spirit! What if may gawin siyang masama kay baby Jay Jay? Raphael, what do you think?" dagdag na tanong ni Chase.

"If Jade trusts him and if my son trusts him, I think we should trust him too. The Prime Guardian is already out of our hands, but there are people who still need our help. Those people who are affected by Karan. I still have a small amount of Vasi in me. I can still help," sagot ni Raphael sa kanya.

"Master is right. Protectors tayo. We are the Protectors of the Vessel of the Immortal Blood, but we are also the Protectors of human from the wickedness of Karan. Eleazar, where is the nearest black storm?"

"South of Bhutan, there is a small Indian town by the river. That would be our next destination."

Sumangayon kaming lahat sa suggestion ni Raphael at Addie. Nang marating namin ang isang bayan sa India, wala na dito ang itim na tornado-like clouds, pero karamihan sa mga tao dito ay nawalan ng kontrol at nagpapatayan. It is like we are facing a zombie apocalypse, but this time, people are filled with rage and killing intent. Gamit ang aming mga Vasi at dahil na rin sa tulong ng mga Divine Spirits, nasagip namin ang mga tao dito.

"He was here," sabi ni Aesther na biglang lumitaw sa tabi ko habang nasa tabi ako ng ilog.

"Sino po?"

"The Prime Guardian, he was here."

"Si Amadeus? Siya ba ang dahilan kung bakit nawala ang black storm dito sa bayan?"

"Yes, I felt the residue of his guardian power when we arrived here. Now I am quite sure that he was here, specifically in that wooden platform," sabi ni Aesther na itinuro ang isang dock na gawa sa kahoy.

Lumakad kami dito ni Aesther papunta dito at napansin ko na nakatingin sa amin si Eleazar. Siguro ay ayaw niyang mawala ang lahat ng Protectors sa kanyang paningin.

"Pinatay kaya niya ang Endorian Witch na nandito? Bigla kasi nawala ang black storm pagdating natin," tanong ko kay Aesther.

"I am not sure, but his guardian power is concentrated here."

Hindi ko alam kung bakit nararamdaman ni Aesther si Amadeus sa lugar na ito. Parang typical na wooden port lang ito na nakaharap ng medyo kulay brown na ilog.

"Aesther, close ba kayo ni Amadeus noon sa Caelum? Sa heaven?" tanong ko sa mala-aparisyon na Divine Spirit sa tabi ko.

"We don't even know his name. We just know him as the Prime Guardian. The most loved creation of the Creator."

"Pero nag rebelde siya sa Creator, 'di ba? Kaya siya ipinatapon dito at naging Shadow Spirit?"

"Alarcus confirmed that he is part of the rebellion. That is the reason why most of us joined him. But hearing his plan to succumb to total darkness and using your son to kill him, I think the Prime Guardian did not rebel from the Creator as his intentions are selfless."

"What do you mean? Shadow Spirit siya, Aesther. Nakita ko siya sa vision na naging isang bloodthirsty monster pagkalabas niya ng kweba."

"I think he was asked by the Creator to join the rebellion. To be immersed in absolute Karan. To be powerful enough to defeat Eleonore. Or maybe the Prime Guardian volunteered."

"Eleonore? Siya po ba ang first Endorian Witch?"

"Eleazar thinks so. Aerand and Argiel also think so."

"Pero kung tama po ang theory niyo, bakit si Amadeus ang kailangan na humarap kay Eleonore? Hindi po ba pwedeng ang Creator?"

"The Creator is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. He can just snap his fingers and Eleonore will dissipate as if she never existed. But He has plans that even us, Divine Spirits cannot comprehend. It is not because His plans are too complex, but because His plans are way out of our league."

"Are you telling me that the Prime Guardian probably has an idea of the Creator's plans? Na pumayag siya maging isang Shadow Spirit?"

"I don't know, Protector. The Prime Guardian is still a Shadow Spirit. He is veiled with the darkness of Karan. We don't truly know what his intentions are."

Aesther is right. Amadeus is still a Shadow Spirit, but this creature made me feel loved during the time that I was with him. I wonder if Aesther is right.

Did he just join the rebellion to defeat Eleonore? Or did he do it of his own accord? Or maybe the Creator offered him this task to be a Shadow Spirit in exchange of finding true love?

I guess I will never know his reasons. It is between the Prime Guardian and the Creator...
