"COME BACK HERE YOU STUPID SLUT!" A shoe missed my head by inches.
"LIKE HELL I WILL!"
I stormed out of the house my suitcase behind me and ran down the street my mother behind me. "Get back here right now!" she toned her voice down a bit, not wanting to get the attention of the neighbors.
I quickly turned around the next corner and apparated to the first place I had in mind. Weirdly it was the forest I always ran away to when I was with my father's parents. They lived in a little village near that forest and were horrible people. Back then my relationship with my mother was a bit better and I used to hide in the woods for hours until she would pick me up because my grandparents couldn't find me and my father couldn't care less.
I always felt safe here, because I could use it as a hiding spot away from my father and his family. This was probably why I apparated here after my mother freaked out again. I felt like nobody could hurt me here. I'm such a freaking weirdo.
I fell to my knees on the leaved surface. The summer break was almost over and it had been just as I predicted it.
I breathed heavily trying to contain my emotions.
"Control your emotions!" I hissed to myself. It would have been a great idea to apparate to the leaking cloud room since it was getting dark as heck but I decided to walk through the woods to calm down. I took my pitch-black cloak out of my suitcase. It was almost touching the ground and had a huge hood. Putting it on I shrank my suitcase, placed it into my pocket, and started walking through the woods.
It was getting darker and darker with each second since it was already half-past eleven. My thoughts raised through my mind like racehorses. Shattering every bit of hope with their booming hoofs.
I thought of Christine, my family, and Hogwarts. The only person that liked me was gone, my only friend... I held back the stinging tears in my eyes and pushed my feelings aside. You never get used to your mother hates you, but you learn how to handle it... So I tried to just ignore the fact why I just literally escaped from home... Would I be able to afford the three nights at the Leaky Cauldron? My mother usually took all of the money, which I earned during the holidays by cleaning for. But I, well aware that I would need it for my books and stuff, but part of it aside without her noticing it. Yeah... I could afford it.
I completely lost track of where I was going, but I didn't quite mind jet. To my left, there was a rather old looking mansion approaching. I knew this building. It was part of the outer Little Hangleton, where my grandparents live. Located in the forest shut off from the public eye. The owners of the place were found dead one day with no logical cause of death. I guess they got avada kedaverad... I got a bit closer but once I saw a dime light shining from a few of the windows I walked past it, it always gave me a weird feeling and I did not like that at all. And now there was somebody in there? hell no!
It was past midnight now. I still walked through the woods. The full moon lanced through the tree crowns and left light silvery spots all over the dark ground. I reached a clearing. The grass was shining silvery and the stars were shining in an icy white and blue. I wanted to step into the opening when I heard a cracking sound behind me. I immediately spun around and saw a group of dark clothed figures. Even though my vision wasn't too good, I noticed the metallic reflecting silver masks some of them wore. They came out of the direction of the old mansion. My instincts immediately kicked in. This was bad. Three of the man turned into black smoke and went up into the dark of the night. I tried to apparate, but all of my attempts failed. They must have cast a nonapparating spell, similar to the one at Hogwarts, once they noticed me. Those figures were death eaters. The people who took Christine... That killed hundreds of innocent human beings... They must think I'm a spy or some stupid thing like that. I mean I do come out of the general direction of the mansion. I passed by it. Maybe someone saw me and concluded I was trying to get in. "Fuck my life, I'm so screwed..." I thought to myself. My thoughts raised through my head and my instinct told me to run, even though I realized it was senseless. So I turned around and took a few quick steps onto the clearing. I knew they surrounded me already. It was useless. Figuring that it would only trigger them to kill me. I did not grab my wand and just stood still. My hood was pulled deep down my face covering my eyes. Nobody could recognize me like this.
The three men, who turned into smoke earlier landed in the woods behind the clearing and those four in front of me too surrounded me on the other side.
Wands pointed at me a dark voice, I would never fail to recognize, boomed through the night, "If I was you I wouldn't dare to move..."
I froze. It was Professor Snape. He stepped into the light and I recognized his features.
"Who are you and how did you find us?" No response.
"Show yourself!" he commanded, his normally monotone voice now daring.
The movement started to come into my body. I always trusted the Professor, do I still? It sounded insane, but yes I did. He was the only person who could get me out of this and if he wouldn't, I would die keeping my composure.
I moved my hands towards my hood. "Watch it," my potions master demanded the death eater to my left.
I grabbed my hood and pulled it off my face slowly.
For a split second, I thought I saw the shock in the Professor's eyes... But it could have been a trick of the light.
"Miss (y/l/n), I thought you said, you wouldn't make it," he said taking his wand down.
The other death eaters seemed confused.
"Wands down! She's one of us," he told them.
"How would you know, Severus?" one of the men asked my Professor critically.
"Don't question me, Goyle. I told her to come here tonight. She's a new recruit. Seventh year Slytherin. I wanted to introduce her to the Dark Lord today, but she contacted me about not being able to come, because of a position accident she had in her house. So I figured I would tell the Dark Lord about her once I can actually bring her with me." Wow, that was a freaking brilliant move of him.
Now the death eaters glanced at me, expecting me to explain myself. I was scared as hell but somehow managed to get over my anxiety.
"Good evening, sir. I'm very sorry for causing you and our friend's trouble, but I just so happened to figure out a way to contain the damage of the spreading potion inside of my basement, so no muggle would be able to see anything from the outside. I thought this was such an important matter that I would come here after all. I couldn't contact you anymore and I believe it was rude to just send my Patronus into a meeting with the Dark Lord himself, so I came here to check if there was still someone outside of the gate to help me inside. Since there wasn't, I wandered around the woods for a bit hoping I could catch you after the meeting, to discuss further steps, sir"
I followed my Professor's lead.
"Well, you did, Miss (y/l/n). We shall discuss your introduction for next week... in private," he nodded towards the other death eaters and
Gave me a "follow me" glance and so I did. We walked towards the mansion again. The death eaters disapparated. My professor gave me a death glare and grabbed my arm harshly.
"You are dead, (y/l/n)," he hissed. Then we disapparated.
