"(...) more," I heard Umbridge's squealing voice say.
"I will hand it over to you tomorrow," that was the professor.
"I hope it's more than that tiny vile you gave me last time," the toad-like woman cussed.
"It will indeed be," Snape said and turned. He headed straight towards us I pulled Christine in the dark of shadows.
Snape stopped right where we were hidden as if he noticed something. He pinched his eyes for a second looking in our direction in a concentrated manner. For the slightest second, I thought he looked me straight in the eyes, but then he turned his head again rushing down the stairs."I thought Snape didn't like Umbridge?!," Christine exclaimed, the second the professor was out of sight.
"What would he give her and why does he help her?"
"Veretaserum," was my rather dry response.
"There have been several student interrogations lately, but I do believe that he has no choice and professor Dumbledore knows about it."
"That doesn't make any sense (y/n)!"
"I trust the professor and so does Professor Dumbledore," I shrugged.
"Let's head to the library now, we still got a lot of homework to do," I said, changing the subject.
"Are you kidding me?! We just overheard some criminal conversation..." she didn't come any farther, because I abruptly interrupted her, "Professor Snape is not a criminal! Whatever this was about professor Dumbledore knows!"Beyond popular belief, I'm not always just suspicious. I often am, but not always. When I do trust someone, they definitely are trustworthy.
As we headed back in the direction of the library, my thoughts spun around Umbridge. What are her intentions, besides becoming headmistress? Even while doing my homework, my mind drifted to her. Damn! You pink arse, annoying woman! Leave my mind alone!"I'm done. I need to go, are you fine with staying here?," I asked Christine.
"Yeah, sure. See you later alligator," she said still writing her charms essay.
I gathered my things and walked out of the library. I needed to talk to my head of the house. I'm not quite sure how to address my matter, but someone needs to do something about Umbridge. To be continued...
I hope you enjoyed. ;)
