"i like you aera. you looked at happy with everyone else. i was afraid to ruin our friendship which we just had started but i ruined anyway. you were always happier without me and it looked like you didn't need me, you probably don't like me and i-"
aera hugged jungkook hushing him. she felt different but safe in his arms.
"i like you too jungkook."

they both sat in silence under the tree.
"i'm sorry aera."
"i'm sorry too jungkook."
"it's almost time for class meet me at the front gate after school," he said as they walked back awkwardly.
aera stood outside the front gate waiting for jungkook. she gave him a smile as soon as he reached the gate.
"come i'll walk you home."
there they stood walking side by side silently. the two young souls didn't know where this would go but all that matters is that they have each other again. they finally reached her door.
"get dressed tomorrow, i'll pick you up at 1."
