your dad told you that he had to tell you something important, so after eating dinner you both sat down in the lounge room.
"i know my sorry can't make up for all the times i wasn't there for you, it's really hard to keep up with our expenses now that your going to university. i got a job offer in japan and i will be going tomorrow morning. you'll be old enough in two days but i'm going to have to miss your birthday," her father said looking down.
"it's sad that you won't be here on my birthday i was really looking forward to it but i understand. please be safe and don't forget to text or call me everyday," aera has tears coming out of her eyes.
"that's my daughter i love you so much i'll be back before you know it," he cried hugging her.
she sat by the window at night as her mind was filled with so much. as much it really hurt she understood what her father was trying to do and you know that. he's been working extra hard to help you go school and look after you. you'll miss him dearly but that's just how life is. maybe i should visit halmeoni tomorrow after school, aera needed someone to talk to.
