Only his surrogate

Thirty.

It was that silent you could hear a pin drop.
"Darling ... I'm ecstatic Leyton is becoming a father ... it's all he's ever wanted. Just .... you're not Avery are you?"
There's those words. She was never going to be happy for her son ... with any woman unless it was his ex. My heart sank deep into my chest.

"Mother that's enough" Frankie stood up.
"Well let's face it ... April couldn't ever make Leyton happy, she's just trapped him with the babies ... and now he can't be rid."

"Grace! Enough!" His dad bellowed.

"Mother! Enough ... I think you've over stayed you're welcome. April means more to me than anything. Avery is the past. April and my children are my future ..."

"I don't accept it she won't ever be welcome in this family"

I couldn't help it I let the tears fall down my face. I removed myself from the table and walked out the back taking a breath of fresh air.

"I think it's time you left, if you cannot accept April into this family, you will not be a part of our children's" Leyton snarled before following me out to make sure I was ok.

His arms met my shoulders and he pulled me into a warm embrace. "I'm sorry ... I didn't mean to talk to your mom like that" I sobbed.
"Are you kidding? That was big of you ... I'm sorry for what she said you don't deserve that"
"I just don't understand why she dislikes me so much ... Leyton" I sighed.

"All that matters is my happiness and yours. And we focus on our babies ... I've got you always, I will protect you all ... I love you"

That was an eventful evening; I was even more nervous to tell my family, I'd like to think they wouldn't react the same way but you just never know.

I finally drifted off to sleep at 3am.

I had sent my mom dad and sister gift packages last week I knew they would take a week to arrive I told them to let me know when they got them and we would Skype them whilst opening.

"So you received the gifts okay?" I smiled.
"Perfectly ..." they were all holding they're gift with anticipation.
"Ok you can open ..."
we both watched with nerves as they opened the packages carefully ... the facial expressions started to change then happiness from each of them.

"Congratulations!" My mom beamed. As did dad and Jennie. "How far?"
"13 weeks!"

The conversation continued for the next half an hour before we had to say bye.
I'm thrilled my family are supportive I couldn't wait to share this journey with them aswell as ourselves.

Knowing we had my families support meant the world' but i just couldn't help but feel sad for Leyton not having his families. This makes me so much more determined to make sure that he is always told and shown how much of an amazing father he is and will be.
