- 1 year later -
"April's designs. How can I help?"
That was not a line I was getting used to yet.

A while year has passed, one year! It's beyond me how much has happened and how quick it happens!

Leyton finally opened his new club in London! The opening night was absolutely out of this world the media were snapping photos asking questions considering we hadn't been in the public eye together before it was fresh for them!

Alfie and Aubrey turned one! My babies were one year old, that didn't seem possible. They had the most amazing party with our friends and family surrounding them. It was magical.

We moved home!! Into a bigger family home! I mean the one we previously had was big but this one was spacious! Just what we wanted! It was secluded and quiet and private.

My business? That's crazy to say, my business it wasn't something I could get used to in a hurry.
It was the right decision, it's taken a year but we got there. My own studio here in New York I mean it was perfect for all the fashion industry!

My own colleagues who worked for me, I had the best design team who made my clothes come to life.

Opening night was a success!! Sales went through the roof I was amazed myself.

I never thought An opportunity like this could succeed so well but it has.

Jane retired. In all fair ness we done pretty well by ourselves we didn't really need her but she stayed in touched regularly.

Maggie is expecting her first child with Sean!! We FaceTime when we can but in all fairness we've drifted slightly! I guess that's what happens when best friends live apart.

I've made a new friend in Ari, she comes round weekly with her son Charlie, her partner Liam has become quite good friends with Leyton so it's worked out pretty well for us both.

My family is doing great, Jennie is studying at college to become a dancer. She's always loved performing arts so wants to pursue into that. I'm incredibly proud.

My mom and dad are fine. We talk every other day if we can! We're planning a visit to them soon when I can get away from work!

Leytons family? His mom still isn't allowed round the kids. Not until she's fully well health wise. Frankie is doing great another baby on the way, and his dad is focusing on grace a lot. So Leyton barely sees them, but he has my family too. So it's not all that bad.

Now back to the office;
"April ... it's for you?" My Assistant calls out.
"Transfer it through Annie, thanks!"

I closed my office door before the phone rang. "April speaking!"
"Ah! I'm glad I caught you, it's Josè Marino! New York fashion week?"
"Ah nice to speak to you! How can I help?" My inner self was jumping for joy at this phone call!!
"You and you're designs!! We want to feature some on the run way ... next week!"
"Next week?!! When?"
"Tuesday?"
"Amazing! Of course yes! It would be an honour!"

New York fashion week was one of the biggest cat walks in the world along side Paris. Having my clothes on models walking the runway would be amazing.

"Ok guys! Listen up!" I called out to the team as I opened my office door. All machines and work stopped and all eyes on me.
"That was Josè on the phone! These clothes are gonna be featured next week in fashion week!"

Cheers filled the room "so what look?"

"Elegance and casual, can you do that?"

"Of course we can!! We're professionals!"

"Perfect, please give me a sample by Friday! But make sure you have enough to complete by Monday latest!"

I mean I wasn't a horrible boss but I had to be firm? They had perks when they deserved them which was more than I could ask for.
