Robbie had been in ICU for over a week and Maddi had hardly left his bedside and the whole time she had been begging him to wake up. That day was nothing different, Maddi woke up she sorted Millie out, had her breakfast and got dressed.

"Mum I'm going" Sandy walked into the kitchen where Maddi was "Mads sitting in the hospital all day isn't helping you or Robbie" Maddi frowned "its helping me" Sandy sighed "Maddi, imagine what Robbie would think if he knew you were over exhausting yourself sitting by his bed all day, everyday" Maddi rolled her eyes "what am I supposed to do? I'm scared that if I don't visit him then he died and I won't have got to say goodbye" Sandy looked shocked "Maddi, Robbie isn't going to die" the tears were rolling down Maddi's face "you don't know that, I don't know that" Sandy pulled her little girl into her arms 'I promise you, Robbie won't die, he's too stubborn to give up" Maddi let out a little laugh "see that's what I like to see, you smiling" Maddi smiled "how about me and you go into town today?" Maddi sighed "what about Millie?" Sandy smiled "Lindsey said she'll watch her" Maddi grinned "okay" she then got Millie dressed and waited for Lindsey to come back.

Maddi and Sandy had been in town for a few hours when Sandy's phone rung -

(Phonecall)

Sandy - Joe is everything alright?

Joe - you and Maddi need to get to the hospital right away

Sandy - all right

(Phonecall)

Sandy turned to Maddi "we need to get to the hospital" Maddi paled "he's died hasn't he?" Sandy shook her head "no" "don't lie to me mum" "Maddi, Robbie hasn't died" Maddi nodded and they made their way to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital Maddi saw her brothers,Lindsey Jake and Millie "what's happened?" Joe turned to Sandy with tears evident "its not looking good, they say we need to prepare ourselves" Maddi started crying "no, he's gonna be okay" Sandy turned to look at Maddi "look darling the doctor's are doing everything possible but its not good" Maddi shook her head "he's gonna be fine, I know he is" Maddi then walked into Robbie's room and sat in the chair by his bed "Robbie, please wake up, don't go, I need you, Millie needs you, Jake needs you" Maddi then decided to try a song she wrote
