A Shock For Maddi

Sandy had a secret she was keeping from Maddi and she knew if it ever got out then it would destroy her. That day it was Rick's funeral and Maddi was saying something for him "Maddi you ready?" Maddi nodded "yeah" Sandy smiled "come on then love" Maddi left her room "where's Millie?" "Esther is watching Millie and Jake" Maddi nodded "okay, we should be going yeah?" Sandy nodded "yeah love".

Arriving at the church Maddi sighed "I hate funerals" Sandy smiled "me too" Maddi frowned "I never want Millie to go too a funeral" "I know love". Entering the church Maddi sat at the front with Robbie and Jason as the Vicar started speaking "today we are here to say goodbye to Rick Spencer who was taken from us too soon, Rick lived an amazing life fathering three children Jason,Robert and Maddi also a Granddaughter Millie, life will never be the same without Rick and now his daughter Maddi would like to say a few words" Maddi stood up and made her way to the front of the church "my dad Rick, he wasn't perfect but then no person is, he hurt me more than what I thought anyone could but through all that he was my dad and deep down I loved him and I'm sure he loved me, I just never gave him enough chances but I'd give him all the chances he wanted just too see him again, I'm never gonna see him again or hear his voice" Maddi turned to the coffin "I'm sorry daddy, I never got to say goodbye, I love you" Maddi walked back to her mum in tears "you did so well love" Maddi couldn't stop the tears flowing down her face "I want my daddy back" Sandy felt tears sting her eyes "its gonna be alright darling" Sandy held Maddi close "I'm here for you".

After the funeral the Roscoe's headed to the club where there was a wake for Rick "Maddi you did so good" Maddi smiled at Lindsey "thanks" Lindsey hugged Maddi "your dad would be so proud of you" "you think?" Lindsey nodded "we're all proud of you" Maddi smiled and walked to Trevor " can I sing a song for my dad?" Trevor nodded "course" Maddi smiled "thankyou"

Sandy saw how heartbroken Maddi was and knew at that moment anything else thrown at her would hurt her.

*3days Later*

Maddi needed to find her baby clothes so she could put them with Millie's when she came across her birth certificate -

Maddi looked confused why wasn't her dad's name on her birth certificate so went looking for her mum "Mum why isn't my dads name on my birth certificate?" Sandy paled "Maddi there's something I need too tell you" Maddi frowned "what?" Sandy took a deep breath "Rick wasn't your dad" Maddi paled "wh-who is then?" Sandy looked at Maddi "Fraser Black"....
