if you like harry potter, check out my calum hood + hogwarts book! it's completed & i'm currently working on a sequel too :)

calum
defense against dark arts had always been a big thing at hogwarts, and as the second wizarding war was over, patronuses had become a thing that everybody should try to learn so when you were sat down by the great lake and calum hood came up to you, you weren't surprised. alot of people had been coming up to you this semester trying to get their patronuses right because to you it wasn't all that hard. "I need help." he stated begrudgingly. "patronus?" you ask, looking up at him as he nods. he reaches out a hand to you, helping you stand up from your reading spot. "I know every teacher has told you to think of the most happy memory you have, but I want you to think of the best thing that could happen to you right now." he looks at you quizzically before doing what he's told. you watch as he closes his eyes and start walking circles around him. "now, what can you do to achieve that thing?" stopping in front of him. "oh, I don't.. I mean, I'm not sure if it's alright." he sounds so unlike himself in that moment. you had seen him around the castle and even talked to him sometimes, he always sounded really confident in himself. "just tell me." you say. he takes a step closer to you before cradling your face in his hands. "is this all right?" he whispers, and you feel his breath fan over your face. all you can do is nod, and not a second later is he kissing you. you let him take the lead, but not without putting up a little fight first. when he pulls away, his eyes are shining, the krinkles by his eyes deep, and smile broad. "now try." you tell him, while trying to hide your red cheeks. "expecto patronum" he says as he does the hand motion. out of his wand comes a silver fox. "now hold it." he does so, watching in amazement as his fox runs in circles around him. "you can let it go now." you say and walk up to him. "were you ever gonna tell me that you liked me?" you say jokingly as he looks at you. "i kinda planned to do this for the past three months now." he looks down at you, suddenly scared that you are gonna reject him. "cool. wanna read with me?" you say trying to sound nonchalant. he chuckles and nods, sitting by the tree with you.

luke
ravenclaw!luke lost his parents during one of the dark lords many slaughterings of innocent magical people in the midst of his quest for power and even though it's been years since the dark lord had plummeted to his excruciating death, the damage he left behind would never be forgotten. he used to be such a passionate young wizard, so eager to learn and lend a helping hand to anyone in need, but that wizard has been gone for a long while now. he walked the halls alone, few heard him speak and even fewer tried talking to him in the first place, most writing him off as a lost cause. it wasn't until one cool fall evening when he was leaving the library, paying no attention to where he was walking, that he collided in to you. before you could even exchange apologies, you seemed to be hypnotized by each other's eyes. as beautiful as you found the sparkling blue pair looking back at you, he found yours to be even more exquisite. he tried to stutter out an apology and push past you but you weren't having it. you told him if he was truly sorry, he could make it up to you by hanging out with you later that night. as luke opened his mouth to politely decline your invitation, his mind seemed to have other plans as he found himself accepting your proposal. the first few weeks you hung out together were comfortably silent, you never pushed him to talk and he loved that about you. you slowly chipped away at the walls he had put up after his parents death and only a few more weeks after that and he was back to doing some of the magic he thought he had long forgotten. today when luke showed up to your room with a bowl of water in his hands, a single rose petal floating at the top, you gave the boy a questioning look. "this is for you," he would say, blushing as he handed you the bowl. as soon as you took it from him, the petal began to sink but just before it hit the bottom, it transformed in to a beautifully colored beta fish. your eyes sparkled with amazement as you looked up from the bowl to the shy boy in front of you. his magic was just as beautiful as he himself and you adored him. "it's beautiful, luke," you would say smiling, placing the bowl down and embracing him in a warm hug. he was quick to wrap his arms around you, holding you as close as he could to his chest, "I think you're beautiful," he whispers into your hair as he pressed a gentle kiss atop your head. luke still had alot of healing to do but nothing seemed as difficult when you were around.

ashton
you're a ravenclaw and gryffindor!ash has noticed you around but never really spoken to you. you keep to yourself a lot because you're are so busy so when ash gets paired to be your lab partner in potions class he's kind of like 'well this is going to be boring'. he sits down next to you and holds out his hand, introducing himself but without even looking up from your potions book you say, "i know who you are." "you're y/n." he states, taking his hand back, his gryffindor pride already a little wounded. "yup." you continue reading the book. the class continues and you barely speak to ashton as you both try to focus on brewing. class is almost finished when you call the teacher over and he looks at your potion, "very good y/n. irwin you should take some tips from your partner. you might learn a thing or two." now that your potion is done you turn to ashton, watching what he's doing, "whats the difference between crush and chop?" you ask. ashton is kinda taken aback, "obviously chopping is when you cut something and crushing is when you crush something, aren't you the ravenclaw here?" you roll your eyes, focusing on your book when ashton raises his hand and the teacher comes over. "this is incorrect me irwin, it looks as though you you chopped the bitterroot instead of crushing it." and as soon as the teacher leaves he turns to you, "you knew i was doing it wrong!" "i asked if you knew the difference between crushing and chopping." you shrug, "i would have helped but you seemed to think the difference was, what's the word you used? obvious?" he just shakes his head and smirks to himself, knowing being your partner wouldn't be as boring as he thought. as time goes on, you start to open up a bit more and ashton takes notice right away. then would come the flirting that you were oblivious to. "you know, i think you'd look good in red." ashton says one day. "i look great in blue." you answer absentmindedly. the next class he picks up the centaur heart ingredient, "here, it's my heart." "thanks." you say, taking it from him and cutting it in half before handing half of it back to him. every class ashton fails so he tells his best friend luke, "i just don't know what it's going to take." luke shrugs, "then flirt with someone else. you have your pick of girls mate, what's so special about this one?" "she just is." ashton snaps. next class he sits down, "do you like butterbeer?" he asks. you turn and look at him, "is this leading to some sort of joke because for once you have me stumped irwin." "no i'm being serious. i want to take you out for butterbeer." "okay." "okay?! seriously? just like that?" he laughs. "yeah. you stopped messing around and actually asked me out." you shrug, "was wondering if you were a gryffindor at all." you say, making him smile. "okay."

michael
slytherin michael always secretly sending love notes to you, a hufflepuff, but you having no idea who they were from. the notes truly made your heart flutter. you were so mesmerized at how your secret admirer could care for you so much and wondered you they were. when you were having a bad day, michael would stumble upon you alone and crying and sit down with you. you would immediately try to stop crying so he wouldn't worry about your emotions, but he'd reach into his pocket and give you his next letter in person. you'd look at the letter in awe, this one having tiny fireworks in the shape of hearts explode when you opened the envelope and would ask you out. you would be so confused and surprised that it was him sending the letters because you were nothing but a quiet hufflepuff while he was one of the most known slytherin guys. when you'd look up from the letter at him, he'd smile sofly down at you and tell you that he would always see you making sure everyone around you was happy and cared for. he would say that he sees the way you go out of your way for people you didn't know which would make him want to do the same thing. he would also bring up the first week you guys started at hogwarts when he was alone and sprained his ankle but you had ditched your friends to make sure he was okay. ever since he just thought you were the best, but had been way too shy to actually say anything in person. you'd sniffle then take michael's hand in yours and smile while telling him you'd love to go out with him. he spent the rest of that day making you feel better, giving you some of his leftover sweets from honeydukes. the two of you spent the following days together as well and loving every minute of it. you two would be the hot topic for days at hogwarts, especially once michael officially asks you to be his girlfriend through another one of his adorable love notes.
