As the ending credits to another episode of It's Always Sunny... began playing, Jordan sighed and turned the television off. Marcus and Kat went to get food off-campus, but that must have been over an hour ago.

After helping Dahlia get ready for her date, Kat came downstairs to hang out with Marcus, and as usual the past few weeks, Jordan.

After declining their invitation to join them, which he figured was just them being polite, Jordan decided he'd rather continue sulking in his room. He knew that Marcus and Kat wanted to get away from him and his foul attitude, and he couldn't blame them.

Dahlia was dating. She and Jordan were actually done and now he felt like he'd never get rid of his pissy mood.

After unsuccessfully trying to just go to sleep, Jordan groaned and dragged his body towards the knocking on his door figuring it was Marcus, who had a knack for leaving his keys.

"Dude, I swear, I'll get you a Tile--"

His jaw dropped and the shock on his face couldn't be denied. Jordan had absolutely no clue what was going on.

"Hi..."

"Aren't you supposed to be on a date?"

Jordan didn't mean for his question to come out in the harsh way it did, but he was still hurting. His wound was still fresh.

Every time he went to sleep and woke up without having her back in his life was like a jagged knife cutting into his heart, and each day the knife went in a little deeper.

"Umm... yeah. I- I just got back."

Jordan nodded as he stood in his doorway, knowing that hearing her tell him she had moved on would be the knife's final thrust into his now hollowed-out chest.

He cursed himself on the inside for letting Dahlia get away and for being so stupid, and as she began talking about her fantastic night out, Jordan wanted the earth to open up and swallow him whole.

"It was a great night, and I had a lot of fun..."

It was in that exact moment that Jordan felt the shattered remnants of his heart drift fading away.
