Dahlia wrapped her fuzzy blanket tighter around her body that early Friday morning. She and Kat were seeing the boys off before their road game that weekend.

"I'm gonna miss you."

Dahlia turned to see the sad pout on Kat's face as she played with Marcus' fingers.

"We'll be back before you know it, babe."

Marcus tilted her chin back and kissed her sweetly, knowing how much she hated when he had away games.

As Jordan closed the door to his room behind him, Dahlia smiled and bit her lip, smiling when he approached her.

"See you Sunday."

She nodded and leaned up to kiss him, silently wishing the weekend would fly by.

"I hate away games."

Dahlia smirked and threw an arm around Kat's shoulder as the two watched Marcus and Jordan walking down the hall, toward the building's exit.

"Well... it's always an away game for somebody."

Kat rolled her eyes and whined, throwing her body back on Marcus and Jordan's couch. They stayed at the guy's place so they could wake up early and see them off.

"But does it have to be for them?"

"Neither of us have Friday classes. We should just drive to Vegas."

"I'm down."

Dahlia looked over at Kat, knitting her eyebrows together in curiosity.

"Wait, Kat-- you're serious?"

Kat sat up, a look of resolution suddenly on her face as she spoke again.

"Yup. I don't know, Lia, I just... I wanna be with him. And I know I've never been, and I know neither of us is 21, but I just--"

Dahlia threw a hand up, stopping Kat as she shook her head in excitement.

"Let's go pack."

A few hours later, Dahlia pulled her Jeep off the freeway. The girls had just crossed the Stateline border and wanted to stop to grab some snacks and relieve themselves.

After stopping at a large gas station in front of Whiskey Pete's, a Stateline casino, Dahlia refilled her tank as Kat headed inside to use the restroom.

She pulled out her phone and called Jordan, hoping to covertly get his hotel information without making him suspicious.

"I miss you, Jordy. Did you guys make it to your hotel, yet?"

"Yeah, we've got a few hours to just relax, until we have to get over to the arena for an evening practice."

Dahlia rolled her eyes, realizing Jordan skipped around the question, giving no hints as to where they were staying.

"It's a nice hotel?"

"Yeah, we got a pool, so that's cool. I guess it's not too far from where we're playing."

"Have you gotten a chance to go exploring yet?"

"Hell no, Doll. Coach said we don't get to have any fun until after the game and that's if we win."

Dahlia looked up to see Kat exiting the gas station, with a large bag, filled with snacks and sodas. She gave Dahlia a questioning look, and all Dahlia could do was roll her eyes and shake her head, letting Kat know Jordan hadn't told her yet.

After using the restroom, Dahlia grabbed a few snacks and a bottle of water, before returning to her truck, where Kat was waiting, listening to a local radio station.

"I couldn't fucking get it out of Jordan."

"They're staying at the Blue Lagoon. Room 248."

As Dahlia climbed into the passenger seat, she gave Kat a double-take, her eyes bulging widely in disbelief.

"What?! How'd you find out?"

"Easy: I called Marcus and asked him."

"And he didn't think it was weird that you asked for his room number?"

"Not when I told him I wanted to send something to him after their win. Lia, you were just thinking about it too hard, babe."

Dahlia rolled her eyes and shook her head with a smile on my face as she turned her engine on.

A little over an hour later, the girls were standing at the receptionist's desk of The Blue Lagoon. As they were being checked in, the concierge typed away happily.

"Wow, you girls sure were lucky. You were able to get a last-minute reservation during a big football weekend for the university."

Coy smiles spread across both Dahlia and Kat's faces in an instant

"Oh yeah?"

The short-haired brunette peeked over the front desk and as Dahlia read the nametag she was wearing, she motioned for them to lean so she could whisper.

"Yeah, apparently. The football the local university is playing this weekend...? They're staying here!"

Dahlia and Kat gave each other a look before sliding their key cards back off the desk, knowing smiles on their faces as Dahlia spoke.

"You don't say..."
